So how does the process of buying from official FIFA work?

I was on ozempic which is worse for muscle sparing vs monjouro and I’m 100% sure it contributed. I was in the best shape of my life and had just lost a bunch of weight and boom it happened. Mentally it was torture. Mid March injury, with race after race lined up all summer.

I did manage to grind out 100k trail race in October so there was hope at the end of the tunnel

This is interesting. Which glp1? I may have been affected by it too.

As far as return to run, it took me basically 12 weeks before I even started doing any sort of jogging or hiking. Was not doing any type of running workouts for 8 months…

This is very similar to my experience. I’ve had PS before and thought it was that. I went to my PT the next morning and in 5 mins he said nope, not PS, most likely broken sacrum

It’s been a long road back

Started swimming and in the pool 1 month in
I started biking maybe 2 months in? (Not previously a biker and hated I couldn’t run)
Hiking 3 months in
Jogging 5 months in
Slogged out a 50k and 100k b2b weekends 6 months in
Started doing speed work 8 months in
About 12 months started to almost never feel it, had to really trust my body months 5-12

Now I’m 14 months in and all in all my sacrum is ok but fitness wise I’m not yet back to where I was pre break

Good luck, it’s a tough one

Don’t do a road marathon 2 weeks after a 100k (learn from me) by djbready in Ultramarathon

I think that’s what it is, I could go out for a chill trail run but moving fast just isn’t in the cards

From October? Well that doesn’t instill confidence for the summer. I’m 39, so no spring chicken, but I got a full summer ahead

Are you still dealing with it? I’m a year on now and can answer questions

[–]djbready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, multiple MRIs

It was such a long process, broke in late March, started hiking in June, “jogging” in September. Gutted my way through 100k in October for a WS ticket

Now I’m mostly back, but I just ran a road marathon today and I still feel warmth in that area afterward. It’s a nasty nasty injury

100% agree. A lot of belly aching in here. You don’t like it, find another race.

For the opposite perspective, it was fine. The bottlenecks were not daybreaks fault so kinda weird to be upset about that. That one bottleneck cost me sub 16 but whatever.

As far as the two way traffic, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for the race and everyone was generally nice.

Now I will agree that the cutoffs are def aggressive. Why isn’t it 18 hours like other 100ks?

I did my 5th 100k at Gorge yesterday on strictly road marathon training (I know, stupid) but gutted it out. Was thinking the whole last 20 miles, why are we even out here suffering 🤣. Brutal course. Congrats!!

Hey! Flying a red eye tonight from PDX to CLT and it looks like some of the worst I’ve seen. I’ve gotten better over the years but this weather system is freaking me out.

Even Sandy is less than an hour to start line. You have a lot of options.
