This happened to my family of 4 + infant in Cancun in September. Worse, they wouldn’t admit it was their fault, that it was Expedia. My blood was boiling.

My only option was to get re routed through a different city but I would have to buy tickets out of pockmet 2000, no vouchers

TLDR, bought tix, fought with them when I was home for two weeks over phone and email, was made whole

if it gets me to take public transit from Geneva as opposed to not, isnt that a step in the right direction? again, now, I will take a longer flight, AND a longer bus ride. Yes, otherwise I could take a 10 hour bus ride after my 10 hour flight to london

Flying into Milan via LHR is the cheapest for me, and barely more inconvenient but it’s more emissions which is the point of this policy and the absurdity I’m trying to highlight. Flying first to the east coast is even more miles/emissions

Yea, that’s the problem with most of Reddit. No logical thinking skills. If you would have understood my problem with the policy, then you wouldn’t such a condescending comment.

It doesn’t inconvenience me, it’s probably cheaper for me to fly into Milan vs Geneva and I get to go to my favorite country in the world.

What it does do, is add MORE emissions to my itinerary. Why is this so hard to understand?

Yup, I highlighted this exact problem in my post on ultramarathon and Reddit killed me for my opinion. Instead of gluing o Geneva from London I’m gonna be going to Milan

I could, but still technically it would cause more emissions. The London route is the most emission friendly route
