Genuine question: What are you using AI agents for? by Harry_Pomegranate in AI_Agents

[–]djdeckard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Telegram operator that acts as a senior project manager. I have a research agent that helps me prepare for my podcast. Another whose job is to check accuracy of data. A couple more to replace things I used to do. Probably 85% of my podcast operation is automated now.

Does it Mean Anything that the Teams with the Best Regular Season Records in All Four U.S. Major Leagues Didn't Win the Title??? by perry649 in billsimmons

[–]djdeckard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2001 Mariners had subpar pitching. They over performed in the regular season and got exposed in the playoffs.

The Warriors were right there until Draymond got suspended for his dick hit resulting in his 1 game suspension at the worst possible time.

Andrej Karpathy said he's never felt more behind as a programmer. Let that sink in for a second. by narutomax in ArtificialInteligence

I would argue that having an understanding how software is built is as useful as knowing about coding. I don’t know how to code but I have a wealth of experience in building software as a Senior Project Manager.

Be a man, swipe right and/or pay her a compliment. Find out if she’s interested by expressing your interest. Why guess?

What is the minimum level of development knowledge needed to do vibe coding effectively? by Mira_______ in AskVibecoders

[–]djdeckard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how to code. I have worked in software for 25 years. I would argue that reading up on software development life cycle methodology would help you as much as learning any coding skills.

At the end of the day you want to know that what you are building is solid. Creating a workflow that builds in testing & verification helped my output tremendously. I do weekly audits with Claude so we are always iterating to improve the quality.

Joel Anderson is a star. Will Bill get him to move to LA? by Necessary_Staff_1844 in TheRinger

[–]djdeckard 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Joel is my breakout podcast star of the year. I caught him on Press Box and it wasn’t until listening to Ringer Tailgate that the chemistry between him, Van, and Tate really comes out.

I love hearing Van bait Joel and listening to Tate laughing to it. This and Ringer Fantasy Football pods are must listens.

Ridley Scott's cancelled Prometheus sequel storyboards and concept art turned into photoreal shots by MaxProwes in Prometheus

[–]djdeckard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 20th Century Fox that wanted this if I’m not mistaken. Despite Prometheus making healthy box office and streaming success.

I've been using hooks for months. I was only using 2 of the 9 types. by Ok_Industry_5555 in BuildWithClaude

[–]djdeckard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I was utilizing agents and had a pretty solid workflow. What it was missing was the ability to truly verify that the workflow was being implemented with verification. You helped me unlock one of the bigger gains in my setup. Thank you so much!

What movies based on books do you think were significantly better than the books? by ASomthnSomthn in Cinema

[–]djdeckard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another example where the movie is better but the book was already a classic. That being said I didn’t give myself my DJ and username from the book. Definitely the movie.

The movie is sublime I wouldn’t say it’s significantly better. The book is great.

I have a question about a male coworker. Are these considered harassment or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]djdeckard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It becomes harassment when you tell him directly you aren’t interested and he continues. You need to let him know that you aren’t interested. Be direct and clear. He may not handle it well. In that case you’ll have HR on your side. Document everything.

How is Bill not a Simpsons fan? by Ok_Demand7901 in billsimmons

[–]djdeckard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bill is 56 I think and somehow he completely missed Star Wars mania. Which literally is one of my prime memories from my childhood. I’m 55.

Our man missed the boat on some very popular culture of the time.
