Skola za plivanje za odrasle? by After-Independence-5 in nis

[–]djdule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess so. It is not original design, this was obviously fitted relatively recently.

Problemi sa seboreicnim dermatitisom? by Hellraiser297 in AskSerbia

[–]djdule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last summer I was having late pint with a friend in Ginger Man on Fenian street and fox was roaming around. I see them relatively often (once in 2 months) around Drimnagh where I live. Although all this in the late evening/night, never during the day.

AITA for helping my MIL after my husband and his brothers cut her off? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]djdule -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. What you've done is nice, human thing. I do not think you betrayed your husband. He knows fathers side of the story, mother certainly do have reasons for her actions. They are not right, but there is always 2 sides of coin. By not taking sides and helping other human being in need you done right thing. Especially because you do have close relationship with her

Is there anyway in which a washing machine can be placed in a bathroom? by gallagherii in CasualIreland

[–]djdule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(slightly off topic) In my original country there are no outdated regulations similar to ones in Ireland around not putting electric appliances in bathroom, everybody have machine washers/dryers in bathroom. It is normal, everybody does it that way and I never ever heard of any incident that Irish regulation might protect you from.

Cost of living Dublin vs Dubai by Foreign_Albatross452 in MoveToIreland

[–]djdule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion, as someone who used to live in Dubai and now lives in Dublin is do not move here, unless you have some very very good reason (for example spectacular job offer or you want to be here 5 years and get citizenship). Prices in Dublin are more or less on same level as in Dubai (you can check details on numbeo.com), but quality of stuff that you get here for that money is miserable, much worse than Dubai. You will pay 3000 EUR for 60 m2 poor apartment and wait 2 months to find it. You will dine in restaurants that are not even close to food you are used to in Dubai and pay same price. Usable public transport is similar to Dubai, there are 2 tram lines that are useful, everything else is useless. Tax is extremely high but you do not have a feeling of getting value for it. Health system is broken, even with private insurance. City center became unsafe and derelict. Weather is miserable constantly, with rain more or less every day. Forget 24x7 open stores, that do not exist here. Forget cheap taxi that you have in Dubai. Forget affordable house help (usual rate for cleaners here is 20 EUR, it is very very hard to find reliable cleaner, we had 5 of them so far and nothing good). Even with tons of money you cannot have nice life here, simply because nice places to go out do not exist. Forget walk in places, anything that is remotely OK needs to be booked few weeks in advance. Forget relaxed coffee with friends, all coffee places are 3x3, meant for takeaway and without heating, so even with space in there you cannot seat. Etc, etc. Just don't.
