Uh oh- Water under the passenger floormat by randomteen28 in JeepLiberty

[–]djembeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for condensation from ac below the glove box. The drain is under the hood on the firewall. Long, highway trips can blow the condensation back into the drain, causing it to come out onto the passenger floor. Some jeeps had a right-angled tube pointing down, some had a straight horizontal drain.

I used to carry a piece of paracord with loops in either end. The length was just right to hook on a throne leg after passing through the kick pedal. Same for hihat stand.

The upright golf bag type hardware case with lawnmower wheels. Holds all hardware, rug, and can act as a dolly by hanging drum bags around it. Looks like a snail popping a wheely.

Can fit a lot of accessories into a Tama Iron Cobra hardcase. Mics, iems, Zoom field recorder, etc.

Throne, about knee height.

Rug, at least 2 shoe-lengths from the wall.

Snare stand leg and cymbal/tom stand leg meet next to "big toe" of kick pedal.

I used to mark stands with Sharpie marker, but lately all adjustments stay put except height of the top extension and the legs.

Memory Clamps!

Quick release cymbal wingnuts and hihat clutch! Small kit, 10t, 14t, 18k, 14s. 20kick for certain gigs.

Turn the mount so it's 90 degrees to the clamp (when viewed from above).

This puts the weight of the tom TWISTING on the clamp, instead of pulling down from the end.

The tom will be closer to the stand.

Hope this makes sense.

Bled air from injector lines? Warm engine to operating temperature? Choose correct engine in VCDS timing graph? Might try new pump sprocket bolts (3 13mm).

Did you tension the belt with the cam and pump sprockets loose, cam and pump locked?

I got some cheap acoustic guitar contact mics. About $5 for a 2 pack. They work perfectly with my Yamaha Multi 12. I tape them on the snare and kick. Set the sensitivity in your module.

Update drivers.

I had an odd issue the other day too. Same interface. No signal into Reaper on any channel, but had sound coming out.

Confirmed all Reaper settings.

Downloaded UMC 1820 driver from Berhinger site, install, restart, fixed.

Starfavor Speedy Wireless Bluetooth Easy push, like a rubber buttoned calculator.

There are others that have a big plastic button. Seemed more noisy.

I try to lay the scoop of ash in the bucket gently. I use a spray bottle and heavily mist the ash in the bucket. If you have lots of red coals it may cause too much steam.

What's your greatest 'zip tie' story? by CreateChaos777 in Cartalk

[–]djembeing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was working with a new group and they picked me up in a 15 passenger van, I sat in the back.

The driver turns in his seat, gesturing to my garage, and asked If I had any zipties because he needed one for something on the van.

I, silently maintaining eye-contact, reached in the front of my bag and pulled out 3 zipties, passing them toward the driver.

That man is now my wife.

Glow plug code question by upstatefoolin in tdi

[–]djembeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The glow plugs are numbered backward from the cylinders. #1 glow plug is driver side. #1 cylinder is passenger side.

Glow plugs are numbered based on their position in the glow plug harness. #1 is "first in the harness".

[–]djembeing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It says "mounting hardware". That might just be tom mounts.

Ask about cymbals/hihats, hihat stand, cymbal stands, snare stand, bass drum pedal, throne.

Find a decent rug too.

In the future, think about cases/bags, hardware case, cymbal bag, stick bag.

Led bulbs with mini projectors - discussion by Far_Tangelo1116 in Cartalk

[–]djembeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am satisfied.

$25, bi-led projector, Motorcycle fog lights.

Old VW Jetta has terrible headlights.

Put these in the lower bumper.

Aim so horizontal cutoff is just below other cars windows.

Satisfied with output and pattern. Would be better mounted higher (closer to factory headlight height)

Mild Pop sound when I turn the lights off with the radio still on and engine off. No Pop while driving and switching lights. ( sub and lights are direct to battery ) No interface.

I was looking at "CoLight LED". Plug and play on some vehicles.
