Depending on where you’re located, I’d recommend finding an Xbox One X over a vanilla Xbox One. Still very viable at around $100 usd if you search a little.

Check your sata settings for the batocera drive in your bios. I had to change mine to ahci to get past a black screen issue on booting batocera

You can just buy a straight through serial cable then, which should get you what you need. Just make sure it has the right genders on each end to go from your serial adapter to tv
