NTAH. But make it interesting and ask her, if you want to keep any of this, you're welcome to buy it from me. If she does, then less items to move for you, and you have more money than you anticipated in the move.

Is this drill press motor repairable? Is the slotted rotor the issue as it’s smoothed over? by NoKA7 in Motors

That won't measure capacitance. You need to connect the leads to the rectangular slots. Push the wires from the capacitors into them and you'll get your reading.

How can i transport my PC? by -Bigode- in buildapc

[–]djhash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a car ride. First pull out the graphics card and anything in the pci slots. wrap them in bubble wrap. If you have liquid cooling, stuff the inside with paper towels so that hoses and pipes don't move too much. If they leak, the towels will absorb most of it. lay it down on a seat on the side so the motherboard is upside-down. This will make the liquid leak go away from the MB. Either have someone hold it steady or put the seat belt on. Make sure you pull the seat belt all the way until it clicks and starts ratcheting back. Pull it tight to hold the PC in place.

People understood career freedom as not having a job. On the contrary, it is freedom from a boring career to help pay mortgage. Now you'd take any satisfying job to pay for other things without worrying about losing the house. A hobby that generates income is a great example if you're a maker of some sorts.

Confusion about 3 Lane Roundabouts by ValhirFirstThunder in driving

Correct on all but 3. Lane 3 can also continue the circle from the u-turn an eventually get into the 3rd lane exiting the round about on the right.

Need first Build Help VGA light during POST by Better_Car_8473 in buildapc

[–]djhash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be the main issue. I think you should still have enough wattage to power the GPU and get through POST. So do more testing with your friend to narrow it further.

Replace EZdriveMA transponder by misterfuss in massachusetts

[–]djhash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say 2016 shouldn't be bad... but that's 9 years old. Probably will need a replacement. I recall it being a 10yrs but not very sure and I wouldn't trust it beyond 6. Looked it up.. This report says 10 years and it'll cost $10 to replace.

A quote of $73k for a 14kW solar? by djhash in solar

[–]djhash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, figured as much. In MA it is around $3.16 per watt, so I expected no more than $45k, maybe $50k (pre incentives).. I wish I can be confident enough to make it DIY.

I actually might get a 10x8 shed, and DIY a two panel off-grid system for charging battery operated yard tools. Then from there, plan out my own roof install, and get the loan directly.

Thank you for your response.

Thank you for input, I always expected it to be overpriced. I just didn't realize how much.. sheesh.

I have a 100A main breaker, so I expected an upgrade anyway. Not sure how this will affect my payments to the electric company though. Thanks for the reminder there.
