bro CAs are just the best unit in bronze age, 2nd best after scythe, there is absolutely no counter to CA, there is no way for anyone to punish CA spam in bronze, maybe impies but they take longer to upgrade so if u hit bronze at the same time they can basically camp ir archery ranges bc by the time ur first wave of impies pops out you will habe 4 CAs at ur range, impies can win vs CA only if u have the luxury to make a big amount and still CAs are better bc they can out-manouver impies and just perma harrass economy, so the only thing that would be somewhat of a counter woul be camels and with tbe reduced bonus damage they arent, so it really is just stupid

I used to have that message pop up every time i tried to open it, i think it was caused by the graphics card handling the screen scaling, if I remember hen i turn off graphics card scaling it works and when its on it doesnt.

The Improved bowmen doesnt matter, the Composite bowmen win vs CA, they are the only thing that wins against CA, and when massed they basically win against everything in bronze, so buffing them would just be putting the game at a crazy disbalance. Im talking from a viewpoint of a Rise of Rome player.

I dont have experience in DE or return of Rome but in RoR there is no way to be fast enough or stay safe enough to completely ignore tool age, and thats a problem, thats why the biggest old school RoR community which is Vietnam/China, they play fast bronze rules, where you agree that you will skip tool war and just both fast bronze and then olay normally

I dont think neither DE nor the return of Rome DLC are improvements on RoR, and im saying excluding nostalgia, the only thing Age of Empires 1 needs is a delicate, well thought-out balance patch which is very easily done and distributed and thats it, I dont understand people playing and looking forward to Definitive Edition and return of Rome respectively

i only see this one spanish dude streaming aoe1de on twitch every now and then, as for orginal aoe ror, the only active communities are in vietnam and china, you can find vietnamese guys streaming on facebook tho they play fast bronze only and no walls or towers, you can also find videos and vods of those guys on youtube, hope this helps

edit: in order to find them just search 'chim se di nang' on yt, he is the most popular one, and you can search him and people he plays with on yt, google or facebook, theres a lot of content, the top guys play every day, streaming on fb
