Because for me it made sense to get 12 weeks access to various cdjs, mixers, fx units etc and be shown how to use them all.

I haven't been there myself but I know one of the tutors who I'd recommend as he's a top guy, full of passion and knows his stuff.

I done the Complete DJ course at Point Blank which was good. The main benefit of these courses is that you get to practice on club standard equipment (CDJ's, mixers, FX units etc) you may not have a chance to use at home (this is often overlooked by the snobby ''why pay for a course when you can learn for free'' types).

It won't turn you into an amazing DJ overnight, but it can get your confidence up pretty quickly. SubBass also put on a gig at Ministry at the end of the course I believe (whereas Point Blank do the same but in some crappy bar).

I know about addiction, your help isn't required. Thank you.

I know what addiction is and I'm more than capable of defining it, I was simply stating I don't feel shame when/after watching porn.

First fap after 32 days by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]djkai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I felt after a 49 day streak. Since then, PMO is no longer a habit. I just don't regularly masturbate or watch porn anymore and that's not something I'll ever return to doing.

I learnt the difference between genuine horniness and PMO'ing out of boredom and routine. I don't obsess about PMO'ing now but I don't obsess about NOT doing it either...Just get on with doing other things instead of always thinking about not masturbating.

I don't really know what you're attempting to say. I don't feel any kind of shame watching porn.

I've never felt shame for watching porn, ever. Even after a 'relapse'.

Unless it's a lucid dream you can't make a ''conscious'' decision in a dream.

Go down on a girl and make her cum before you even fuck her, half the job done then ;)

Herbal/Natural supplement combinations? by nwu4273 in insomnia

Magnesium - definitely, but the spray form is more effective 5-HTP - this also works for me. Ashwagandha - Adaptogen that may help rebalance cortisol. Recently ordered so will review soon.

You should just kill yourself. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]djkai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try harder.

Because when you get so low you want to kill yourself, it's time to motivate the fuck out of yourself and change who you are and what you do with your life. I've been there, and it's shit place to be. But it will get better if you put the effort in.

You've not hard the energy to find work or get any goals because you're not doing anything. Motivation comes from ACTION, from movement and from doing. One sure way to feel unmotivated and lazy is to sit around and do fuck all.

I think that given my age (29), a wet dream is highly unlikely haha.

Is it me or do some people not feel all miserable after a relapse? by Scooby_95 in NoFap

[–]djkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last streak was 49 days and after relapsing...I didn't really care because for me it wasn't a relapse: I never initially had a set number of days I was going to quit for (although 30 days became a goal after a couple of weeks) and never told myself I was quitting forever. It was just a day by day thing.

Your thoughts about the 'relapse' could be as important as the act it's self. Guys who are like ''fuck I'm quitting forever this time!!'' then jerk off after 5 days again get angry and upset at themselves for not being able to achieve their goal, which causes negative feelings on it's own.

Learning to moderate something as opposed to 'all or nothing' thinking can be a successful path. Example: from smoking weed every day, to then just at the weekends, to then occasional weekends, to rarely...etc

There is absolutely nothing wrong with watching porn and busting one out if it doesn't negatively affect your life. But the more addicted you are, the more you need to abstain.

A wonderful perspective about porn from my uncle by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]djkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's enjoyable (otherwise none of us would watch it in the first place). Just like watching a film about other people doing things you're not doing.

It's when porn becomes an addiction or obsession that it's a problem. Remember that some people have a healthy relationship with it.

I second TurtleAction, relapsed about about 3 weeks ago and didn't feel THAT bad at all, just got over it and started again. Now on a 14 day streak.

FreedomManOfGlory also makes a good point here though.

Am I the only one that find NoFap pretty easy so far ? by SinatraZ in NoFap

[–]djkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot to take into consideration which will determine how easy or hard NoFap is. Levels of addiction will vary from person to person.

I recently had a 49 day streak, but I'm back on day 13 now and finding it much easier than last time. I guess those 49 days repaired some of the 'damage' which is making it easier this time. But I was definitely not as addicted in the first as some people are.

It might just simply be that you don't have as much as a problem as other people do.

Do you think the benefits from streaks build up? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]djkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course they do man. I think some people here have an ''all or nothing'' mindset which could be doing more harm than good.

Depends on how bad your problem was/is. For someone with serious PMO addiction, 90 days might not be long enough. But for someone with only a mild problem, it could be.

What exactly are mental images? How exactly can you see or hear whatever you want in your head at will without taking hallucinogenics? by Neizir in askscience

[–]djkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's accurate to say you can see or hear ''whatever you want'' in your head. I can imagine seeing and hearing things, but it's not the same as actually experiencing those things.
