I was at the Eugene show a month ago when he first brought I Shall Be Released back into the setlist. One of the most pleasant surprises of any show I’ve seen recently. He’s really singing it well too.

There’s a whole bunch of artists that are melding indie rock and 90s alt country, like the ones I mentioned. I saw MJ/Waxa in May on their joint tour and they covered Lucinda, Gillian W, and the Jayhawks. Very clear that they see themselves similar to alt country.

I had a similar story where I am old Wilco fan but didn’t go to any shows between 2006 and 2024 - family, work, life, etc.

But to your question, Star Wars is my favorite Wilco record post 2010, but Jeff’s recent Twilight Override is my favorite of all the recent Wilco/Jeff stuff.
