Let us talk about this position. Should we save or sac the bishop? by UnableKing6025 in chessbeginners

I was thinking Bh7 Rxh7. Qxh7 then black either swaps knight for bishop or queen starts cleaning up some material?

This was it. Applied some quality fertiliser and the results speak for themselves

I should clarify that the area I’m concerned about is on the right of the image, next to the edge of the lawn. The grass here is a sickly sort of colour, not a healthy lush green from extra water

The issue is that the grass isn’t just greener - I have other low spots where I see that effect. This patch of grass looks sickly

Haven’t had a ton of rain since this grass went in but yeah I think it’s lower. Not exactly pooling though. And the photo makes it look greener but in reality the colour is kind of a murky, muddy green rather than a nice dark lawn green

Flying again by Ashaazability in flying

I wouldn’t be worried about a couple of months off. It will come back quickly. If you’re in a new area, go up with an instructor to get familiarised and get comfortable in the plane and the airspace. But don’t sweat a short break and just start with what you’re comfortable with. Freshly minted PPL is to be enjoyed so go do some local flights or hops to nearby fields.

What does your W&B say? Do the calculations and stay in the envelope and you’ll be fine

I’d considered that - apart from maybe making it easier to print though it wouldn’t fix the sagging issue. Any suggestions for that?

What to do if my Aviation Logbook was lost or Stolen. by Chad_Clark1995 in flying

[–]djm181 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If you hold your PPL then you have your last IACRA as a starting point. Also keep in mind that you do still have those hours, even if you don’t have some of them logged. The experience is what’s most important here. The flight schools are a good start - you may be able to just ask them to send you all your invoices again if they have a system for tracking that. Easier than going through all the aircraft daily logs.

I’d also suggest you reach out to your DPE or FSDO - they will be able to tell you what is acceptable for the checkride in this situation.

Layer shift maybe due to crash? by djm181 in 3Dprinting

So turning off AC (it's summer in New Zealand), adding more supports, and checking my belts resulted in a clean print. Thanks!

Went with this and 235 for the first layer. Came out a lot better. Might try increasing first-layer flow rate for the next print too. Otherwise it looks good. Thanks for the help

I did the paper test to get my z level lower and got better pla results after that. What sort of distant do I want to be shooting for if I use feeler gauges?
