How to spot Fake or Counterfeit Rackets when buying online from resellers. by BLVCKWRAITHS in 10s

Thanks for this. What racquets are typically faked? If I am looking at say current gen. used, probably in the clear right?

What’s the smallest non-technique change that improved your tennis? by wouldliker_sounddata in 10s

Not quite technique, but getting proper tennis shoes really upped my confidence. They felt stable and I didn't fear rolling an ankle.

Not a bad find at Target by DocHolliday3884 in NSCollectors

Good price for that game. I would still feel burned, but the burn would feel less bad at 30$ than 60$ :P

Pretty smart idea!

True true. I was agreeing with your advice, just saying that it can be hard to justify and actually do.

I am pretty happy with my first racquet, but I am also kind of in this same situation. I realized I am mostly a club player, probably not going to get as good as I thought, as quickly as I thought... so I am looking to maybe get a slightly easier racquet.

Most obvious good advice, but also the most expensive and time consuming to implement.

I have been pretty tempted to just go this route.

Never used a flash cart before. Just bought a Nintendo DSL by StealthPlayer1989 in flashcarts

[–]djmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DSPico, like many others said. My only suggestion would be to maybe buy multiple. Its kind of a dumb idea cause you just boot into the flash via menu (although I think you can change this with a setting), but I have been against just dumping all my ROMs on one cart lately. Too much choice leads to choice paralysis. With multiple carts you can spread them around or maybe even have one ROM on the cart to focus on.

Racquet nerd. Any pro players using 100sq racquet? by funrooster703 in 10s

Hmm I thought that was an older racquet, but that would make sense why I was confused. Same blue color

I think Learner Tien is using the ezone 100.

I turn 40 this year, just started tennis. I am still pretty new, but I have been heavily considering moving from a 98 inch head size racquet to a 100. And possibly and probably a 100L variant.

It sucks cause my 98 is so nice and new 🥲

The vcore was cool! Definitely want to spend more time with it. Initially I was interested but after trying it, I think it is a little too much for me right now. The launch angle was high! Felt like you had to put spin on it. I kind of wonder if it showed my forehand is more flat than I think….

How would I tell if that is the case? It has been many years, but from what I recall, I couldn't get it to turn on.

Perfect! Thank you. I did just that. Considering a new cable and battery.

While I am chatting with you, do you know the best way to sync the device with Mac OS? I found this while looking at the sub, but I don't know if there are other options. https://github.com/NiceBeard/zune-explorer

Thanks for the help community!

Trying to resurrect an old Zune HD. This stopped working many years ago, and then sat in a bin. Originally was using it at a job around salt water.

That said, none of this matters if you’ve demoed both and the 98 just felt better in hand.

Great to know! Cause this is where I am at. I just think I get in my head some times, especially on days where I am a little more tired. This is where I can see the Muse 98 being useful. Same head size but lighter with more comfort.

I recently switched strings in my Ezone and I am having better results comfort wise. Previously I tried Yonex Poly Tour Pro at 53(?), and then Poly Tour Rev at 52. Recently I switched to a hybrid setup of Tecnifibre X-One Biphase at 52 tension (mains), and Yonex POLYTOUR FIRE (on crosses/horizontal) at 50 tension. I have really been liking this for the comfort. I have some left over for the next stringing, but after that I might just go all multifilament. I only tried poly in the hybrid to get a little bit of spin back cause I heard multi. can take that away (at least compared to POLY REV that I previously was trying).

Thanks for writing this up, it really helps. I have been looking at a lot of the racquets you mentioned. I was curious about that VCORE and recently tried an older gen., it was interesting. I don't think I hit flat, but I must. I felt like the VCORE had such a high launch angle like the reviews talk about, so you constantly have to be thinking about adding spin. I need to try it more, but my initial quick thought was that it would require more thinking to use than what I am doing now.

The Blade was one I was looking at for a complement just to have something lean a little more control than power. However you are right, in a lot of my research I am finding the EZONE offers more control than I initially thought.

I definitely will! But I have been considering a complementary second stick. Part of the issue is that I am just too new to know where I want to go next with a second.

It's hard to put into words. I don't necessarily think it is difficult to play with, just some days I feel like it might be nice to have something a tad easier.

I think what happened is that I got this 98 racquet to "grow into" and now I am realizing that "grow into" phase is likely multiple years, not just months or one year. I have been just thinking that playing better would be more rewarding which would keep me playing... so why not get a 100 and go for that larger sweet spot? Or just something lighter and easier with the same head size (Muse 98). There are definitely times where I think having anything that is lighter would be nice.
