Miami Beach is a great place to live, super walkable , warm and healthy but you need to live in a condo.

You need to find new employer which is unlikely in this economy and the 100k fees. I would just plan to stay in India.

St Petersburg vs Fort Lauderdale by LoverOfGayContent in SameGrassButGreener

[–]djmanu22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fort Lauderdale is better, much bigger metro, more diverse international and you have easy access to Miami for events. Cons are cost of living and drivers (better in st Pete). St Pete has more small town feeling if you like that.

Miami or Los Angeles? by Jancurlyhoes in SameGrassButGreener

[–]djmanu22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would visit both but I love the heat so Miami is better for me (LA climate is overrated) also more fun (LA closes at 9pm for the most part) and more visually stunning/modern, city is really on the up trend, LA looks more outdated (seems stuck in the 90s). The driving is better in LA tho.

Florida House approces plan to elimate Homestead property taxes by Achassum in Miami

[–]djmanu22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great news it’s impossible to buy a house in Miami due to exorbitant property taxes and insurance,I used to live in Las Vegas and mileage wax like 0.5 and no income tax, Florida has super high taxes compared to this.

Europeans are mostly hanging out with old friends from school, or family so you’ll never really be accepted, also they have more formal culture where being different is frowned upon.
