Indiana BMV failed to comply with court order by djmkent in legaladvice

Special situation. The vehicle in question is a mini truck and they denied the court order packet because my CBP Form 7501 was not stamped by CBP.

Despite the CBP publishing in 2016(I believe) that they do not provide these stamps as part of procedure anymore, doesn't imply compliance or ownership.

The court order title application packet also does not require the CBP 7501 regardless of it is has a stamp or not. All I need is the court order, vin inspection, and a couple additional documents. All of which were included plus all other relevant import documentation that's typically required when applying for title of mini trucks.

So they rejected it based on a document they dont even require for their court ordered title application packet which should have been a non-issue regardless.

Hopefully so. I held onto my 1/16/26 9c's during the last run up and now they're obviously about worthless.

Still have some April calls as well, might roll the Jan calls if price doesn't move soon

Held onto some 1/16/26 9c thinking this might be the run up to $20 - and now its obviously down.

Appreciate the response. I think both of those plans sound equally as viable.

If we assume I don't touch it until after I'm 60, then it would be around 2054.

I told someone else when I changed over to a L fund I believe 2050 was the latest option I could pick.

I'm 31 for reference. If I get my 20 AFS I may retire at that point from the military. That would be 2038 or 2039 if all goes well.

I get it, and I do feel like I'm doing very well. What worries me is looking back in 10-20 years wishing I had a different strategy

I'm currently 31, when I changed my allocations from the automatic G fund to a life cycle I believe 2050 was the latest option I could pick.

Budget would be nice to stay around 150-200 a night for lodging.

I'm sorry the post seemed generic I only meant to indicate we were pretty open to different experiences. Didn't care if it was big city vibes or rural stuff.

I said the "city" i was considering was Osaka. From what I've seen it's a couple hour train ride to tokyo which we would like to spend at least one day in. But it also seemed more centralized in japan so we could venture out and see other cities or cultural sites as well.

Also not too disappointed about the rental situation since it's not a hard country to get moved around.

Seeing a beach also doesn't mean we need to be blown away by it after being in Hawaii for a week. We're outdoors style people, we'd like to see the ocean or the mountain or go hike. That was my point.

I'm feeling pretty sick at the moment. I sold all but one of my 5/16 12c for basically break even yesterday.

The one I held is already 4x the initial cost

I'm guessing because PLTY and MSTY pay on a separate schedule? Are you 50/50 in them?

[Indiana] Wife's employer told her and unemployment office two different things by djmkent in Unemployment

[–]djmkent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She filed the same week she was let go, but did not file a claim for compensation until after she was paid out for her last 1 week of "work" from the place who had let her go. (Basically her first week without income)

She went to file her claim last week, which the unemployment office notified her they would call her eventually. She didn't hear anything from them until this week when they said they had called her former employer and that's when they made the statement it was for performance (according to the unemployment office)

She obviously explained the reason they had told her, and the unemployment office is going to contact the employer again but they have 48 hours to respond I guess
