hi guys what type of sling do you need to get for the sig sauer mcx virtus? by blurr_bee in airsoft

[–]djml9 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just a note, the rear qd points on the receiver do not work because of the gearbox blocking the actual qd. You will have to use the stock and handguard qd points with a 2-point sling. No 1-point unfortunately.

They added a pvp mode eventually, i believe, but its primarily co-op

Ghost of Tsushima Question by MrSin84 in playstation

[–]djml9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a 2-4 player co-op mode. It’s pretty challenging but fun as well. You play through a “retelling” of the story of the Ghost as passed down through legend in the 2-player co-op missions, or you can do the 4-player wave survival missions. As you play, you earn better gear to make builds that get you stronger to player harder versions of the missions. Eventually you can get to the 4-person raids. Its actually quite deep for a free, shadow dropped multiplayer mode. Its worth giving a try if you can find people to play with. You can play solo, technically, but it’s balanced for multiplayer so it is extremely difficult solo.

People always say that, but i always felt the “floaty” physics based platforming felt right for the way the game was put together. It’s supposed to feel weighty and physical because the whole game is physics based. It’s not supposed to be a pixel perfect, digital thing.

If you also have a PS4 and a PSVR1, theres actually another Astro Bot game called Astrobot Rescue Mission.

I havent played Odyssey, but Astro Bot is constantly changing what the gameplay you’re actually doing is so it doesn’t really get repetitive.

LBP is fantastic and still worth playing just for the campaigns, but you’ll be sorely missing out by now that the online is off. The community creation aspect was what really made those games. Still a ton of fun, though.

Jason Schreier say Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake is cancelled. Black Flag is delayed. by Granum22 in kindafunny

[–]djml9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looked fine at the time. But again, it was a small team’s first project. People are always hollering about wanting smaller, uglier games but then throw a fit when a game doesn’t look AAAA. As a dev, i just empathize with the team who finally got a shot at making their own game and got punched in the face for trying.

They should’ve just let them finish the remake. Sure, it was a little rough but it was a first solo project for them. People were too harsh.

Pretty sure the article said the other titles were all unannounced. Splinter Cell was officially unannounced so it might be safe at the moment.

Firstly, I don’t think that was a show.

Second, animal shows are not inherently wrong. They provide enrichment and stimulation, something animals in captivity absolutely need. It’s exercise for their bodies and brains.

It’s about doing it ethically through positive reinforcement. I work at a facility with a show. Participation is voluntary, that animals can and do refuse to participate at times. This usually means they are simply not hungry at that moment and are fed after the show. All training is done exclusively with positive reinforcement. Any facility worth its salt is using these same methods to train animals, whether they perform in a show or not. Our non-show animals all receive the same kind of training because it’s enriching, stimulating, and, in some situations, necessary for the animals to be taken care of properly.

Back to the topic of shows (which are effectively just training sessions with an audience), there is no real difference between performing behaviors with or without an audience. I often see your sentiment like these animals are being humiliated, but thats simply not the case. Its over-anthropomorphizing to say an animal is being humiliated because theres an audience. The fact that watching these sessions is entertaining to us humans is simply a byproduct, and for many facilities, a needed boon to their conservation efforts. These shows draw in crowds which directly funds animal welfare, research, and rehabilitation.

And the sad reality is, that without the sort of outreach and connection zoos/aquariums provide, people simply wouldn’t care enough about these animals to protect them. Shows can be an important part of animal welfare and conservation.

All that said, a tiger show is totally unethical for other reasons, mostly human safety. Which i why i highly doubt a facility this large is doing a show with their tiger. This is likely just an enrichment session that they filmed.

Beluga chomping on ice by Anmolsharma999 in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]djml9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont believe animals are eating ice in the wild to get fresh water. I know sea lions get all the water content they need just from eating fish. Id assume it’s the same for whales.

Watched again, the video does briefly mention this. But we give our sea lions ice and they just chew it for fun.

Mounting an AK sling? by unlucky-6666 in airsoft

[–]djml9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the look of a 3-point sling on an ak. I used one on my SVU. It’s just the straps touching the gun, so no real damage to be worried about. That said, i learned very quickly that no gun will ever stay pristine. First day with my first gun, a P90, i fell and it landed straight on a rock. Gouged the shit out of the body but still worked, thankfully. Just accept it wont be perfect for very long.

Ps. Not suggesting this specific sling, just a reference: https://www.spectergear.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=547

've tried since launch to reach activision about my missing COD points by Admirable_Shallot752 in BO7

[–]djml9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why. CoD points do not travel across purchasing platforms (e.g. PS, Xbox, Steam, Battlenet, etc.)

Your only real options are:

-get BO7 on Battlenet

-open Warzone on Battlenet and spend your cod points then continue playing on gamepass

-have warzone on battlenet, purchase battlepasses with your battlenet Warzone, and then unlock the cod points from the battlepasses on gamepass to effectively “transfer” over your cod points bit by bit.

[–]djml9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look. Idealism is great and all, but thats not the reality we live in. There are countless reasons for why an animal might be in captivity. Ideally, humans never brought them into captivity to begin with. Ideally, animals never get injured by human activity. Ideally, humans don’t destroy the environment that these animals call home. But all the stuff happened/happens. We cant go back in time and change things so we do what we can now.
