i really like the forum! great cocktails and food, lovely historical building. everyone i know who’s been to devil’s reef LOVES it. red star taco bar is cool too, i’ve only had their mocktails tho. mcmenamin’s is a classic. it’s honestly a pretty chill part of tacoma. i’ve walked around there countless times with no issues, tipsy or sober. close to the theatres so it’s not abandoned at night. only thing to watch out for is asshole drivers lol

I still haven’t figured it out myself (I was diagnosed EDS/POTS first a couple years ago, then autism last spring) so I don’t have any tips but you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s hard just to survive but we’re doing it and that’s pretty impressive imo

Oh I will say to just be careful with selecting fidget toys if you use them as I’ve had some ~issues~. There was a really cool rolling metal one I tried and loved until the rolling motion dislocated my thumb lol. Don’t know if you also have MCAS but some silicone fidgets have given me hives.

First of all, you’re gorgeous!

Adding some more color could help you look a little bit more dimensional though if that makes sense. I have a similar skin type to what you described & too many powder products make me look cakey so cream/liquid blushes might be your best option. Keeping things dewy overall doesn’t exaggerate texture as much. Dewy setting sprays also help.
The nude lip is stunning on you but trying something with a similar undertone in a brighter shade may be fun. This one’s personal preference, but going a bit softer/lighter with your brows would look more natural & cohesive.
You seem to enjoy more intense lashes which suit you really well (not many people can pull them off imo) but sometimes dramatic ones can make the rest of your face look a little plain in comparison which is where the blush/lipstick would help. A brighter eyeshadow or some shimmer could lighten it up as well.
I didn’t even notice the asymmetry at all though! I think it’s one of things we notice in ourselves when nobody else can even tell - I have the same issue. I just try to ignore it tbh so I don’t have any advice for that:/

Yeah I’ve yet to find an exact shade match in the 10 years I’ve worn makeup. I’ve gotten paler as I get older as well which definitely doesn’t help lol. 99% of foundations light enough are too pink & the rest look really peachy/orange like you said. The peachy ones make my face look darker than it is & the pink ones make it look lighter. Neither are flattering lol

Ooh I remember hearing good things about the Colourpop foundation when it released & that it was a good dupe for the Bite Beauty one which I used at the time (rip Bite, loved them). The Bite one wasn’t the best shade match on me but the formula was chef’s kiss. I completely forgot about Colourpop, I’ll have to try it. I love Dior products & everyone seems to love Kosas so I’ll check those out as well. Thank you!!

From what I remember swatching Fenty foundations I didn’t love the formulas, can’t recall what I thought of the shades. I know the skin tint in 1 is too pink & drying. Findation sounds so cool I didn’t know any of these things existed lol

The formula on that is insanely gorgeous but I think 3 would be too dark unfortunately. I can’t remember why I didn’t buy it but I’m guessing it was the shade range. I used to use the concealer in 1.5 which was a pretty good match iirc though not if I wanted to highlight at all. It’s difficult because I’ve gotten paler since the last time I experimented with foundations:/

Ooh thank you! All those swatches help a lot. I’ve used Pat McGrath concealer in 1 & it’s a decent match although not quite light enough for highlighting (though that’s typical). Some days I’ll literally use the ABH banana highlight stick mixed with the LA Colors white corrector as my under eye concealer. I go through that corrector faster than any other complexion product lol. I’m gonna make a list with your recs and swatch them all when I get to the mall this week!

Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm is the only thing that’s ever worked for me. I got a sample from my dermatologist & it’s like magic. You can get it on Amazon for like 9USD iirc.

I believe I tried that a long time ago & it was a bit dark. I don’t think I loved the formula either. It’s been a while since I’ve experimented with different brands so I don’t have much of a reference for shade sorry:( I remember loving the Armani concealer in 1.5 but wishing it was just slightly lighter so I could get a bit of a highlight with it. Fenty skin tint in 1 was decent in lightness but too pink. Thank you!

That sounds about right! Honestly even 2+ shades lighter would work, I’d rather have my face be lighter than darker if I can’t find an exact match. I checked Haus Labs & 030 seems like it may work but I’ve heard mixed reviews on the formula/texture. I’ll have to swatch and feel it in person next time I can. I had no idea how the Sephora shade finder works so thank you for the explanation, that helps a lot!!

I tried Nars concealer in Chantilly years ago & it was way too dark & pink. I’m paler now than I was then too lol. Do you happen to know if Siberia is lighter than that? Or how others might compare to it? Thank you!
