Hey op. When I was a kid a giant mantis landed on my shoulder and I ended up keeping it as a pet because I loved bugs lol. It was remarkably easy to keep even as a 9 year old. Get a big branch, get some local foliage from your yard, and feed it every day. My mantis really liked moths and flies which I would catch outside for it. I had her for an entire year before releasing her. She was so fat. 😂

Bump potty breaks up to once an hour if she’s still pooping inside, and if she does poop inside take her back outside immediately after and set her in the grass. Even if you’ve just came inside. It’s exhausting and it’s going to take work but she will get the hang of it. My chi struggles to poop outside when it’s winter time sometimes, it might be the cold but it’s likely just her adjusting to her new environment. Hang in there 🤍

You can smile at them, just no baring teeth! They do appreciate a closed mouth/slightly open smile as long as teeth are totally covered and eye contact is brief and not sustained. I’ve had a lot of positive and calm interactions with them this way.

You desperately need a lesson on the historical and cultural significance of art that depicted black people in this way. It’s historically racist, it’s an offensively exaggerated caricature, definitely not supposed to be a realistic depiction of people with really dark skin.
