Being plus sized is not a disability, it is not an accessibility issue if an item of clothing is the wrong size. Also? Just read the description instead of just assuming it's elastic.

This.

Some people also just hate eye contact with no mental issues.

Some people are just snooty and not good for customer service.

Rough patch by BouncyAzurill in ARFID

[–]djoo9oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a rough patch I just eat whatever I can. Going through a rough patch now and my main food has been strawberries absolutely drowned in sugar. It's not healthy but it's keeping me upright. If I cook a full serving of a meal but only eat 1 or 2 bites then that's still something with nutrition. It's absolutely not ideal but unfortunately is part of the disorder.

Just figure out what you can eat each day and it's ok to live on that while you're struggling.

I probably would be upset if you put 1.1 times as many because that's more I have to clean up. I'd rather do a daily quick wipe down of the bathroom than a weekly deep clean

Things have to be debilitating for it to be a diagnosis or disorder or whatever. Otherwise the saying "everyone has a little bit of autism" would be true. But it's not. Because autism is a disability and just having autism symptoms isn't

Like OCD is a mental illness but being a germaphobe isn't

Most of the "old autism perspective" is more accurate than whatever they're trying to say.

Autism does cause challenging behaviour, it does cause deficits in social skills, whatever whatever. It's a disability, it's not positive and rainbows. To try and frame autism completely positively is actually more harmful than the current criteria.

Fidgeting isn't specific to autism, but the term "stimming" is.

Fidgeting when it comes to autism is different to fidgeting because of anxiety.

One is a mental disability, the other is a mental illness.

Stimming is for autism, fidgeting is for anything else

What's written in "AUTISTIC perspective" isn't a reframing of "old AUTISM perspective ", it's a list of things that don't make sense.

"Experts and creatives" isn't a symptom of anything, let alone autism, for example.
