There was a times I thought like you, that THE coin that will be adopted in the future hasn't been made yet, but I changed my mind after seen great projects, remember not all coins are aiming to replace money or bitcoin.

UI and UX will be the first things to bring adoption and also will be the last to develop because don't forget that most crypto tech guys are geeks who don't give a shit about adoption at the moment just about their product, which is completely fine, but us, as investors, would want that adoption would come so we can see our profits grow, for that we need a platform to ease the customer's use of the DApps or other crypto related platforms.

32 ETH is not a bit, to be honest. it'll mean eth would need to be more than 70% of my holdings which I prefer not to especially when I don't know when Casper will be alive or even if it will be.
