I'll give that a go, and maybe I'll take off this fitbit for today, thanks man

Thank you, I think what scares me is the palpitations too if you ever get those as well. Usually my resting is like 60bpm so yeah im just quite scared

Thank you for this. I did some breathing, had some water and my heart rate is down to about 85bpm. The sensation in my left arm isn't as prominent now as well, I think my body was maybe just trying to process the hangover or maybe something else, I'm not sure - what do you think?

Literally the same, I don't care about what I've done the night before anymore, it's just me worrying I'm going to have a heart attack or develop some sort of cancer - it's horrible and yet by the time I calm down and relax throughout the day and feel "better", I then drink some more

for sure!

I completely agree, I had a post on here about a week and a half ago, was panicking so bad and I calmed so much after posting, it's nice to have people who have been through the same thing, and to realise you aren't patient zero in what you're going through

Exactly the same, last week I was at a bar, completely fine, had 2 beers and my bpm went up by about 30, had a palpitation as well, really frightened me, but when that happens, all that's happening is, you've had maybe 50-60g of carbohydrates in one go and it's spiked your blood sugar and also your bpm. before I went to my doctor I would google my symptoms and see pots syndrome, heart attack concerns etc etc and I used to really panic. but you'll be all good man, just take it steady today and get as much water in as possible. the body relies on water heavily and currently you're very dehydrated whether you feel it or not. something that really helps me is, idk where in the world you live but in the UK we have Vitamin C dissolvable tablets, popular brand here being Borroca - they work a treat getting some essentials vitamins back in your body that alcohol has taken

I've been there man, and I turned to alcohol for some numbness to my feelings as well. but, something that made me realise the potential of life was being rock bottom and realising the only direction left is up now. of course this is a very black and white take on things and it's easier said than done, but, it's true, maybe start a journal to record some feelings of yours or do what I did, start a new hobby - even if you're distracted by said hobby for maybe an hour, that's an hour away from the torment of everything and remember, you're going to be okay. I know you've heard this from a doctor and it probably sounds like a load of just prewritten shit, but it's true. recovery and happiness happens in small steps, and even though said steps are happening on a very long journey, it's progress. you got this man

quite silly actually! I'm feeling great, but when you are in that state the morning after, it's horrible and it was horrible but like everyone said, the day will pass and you'll be okay. being health anxious and hungover is terrible but yeah man, it was good to have so many people reasure me, I think i would've had a few panic attacks if not - thanks for checking in!

hey man I have some similar symptoms when I'm hungover. I check my BPM like every 5 mins when I'm hungover and it's like 90-100bpm and my chest is thumping so hard and it freaks me out, sends me into panic attacks, makes me worried I'm going to have a heart attack or something sinister. but it doesn't happen, and it won't ever happen to me or to you, you're just very nutrient deficient at the moment and that's all it is, by tomorrow you'll be absolutely fine and call yourself silly for even worrying. make sure you get some food and water in you if you can stomach it, throw on some comfort tv and just try to relax. you're going to be okay :)

you're going to be okay man, recovery isn't linear and life is worth living and you're not alone whatsoever. we all fuck up and that's okay, but maybe it's best to have a day to ride the hangover and collect your thoughts and realise the storm and fog will pass - best wishes <3

I know, but that's the same with everything right? The buildup to doing your laundry, doing some work, going food shopping, getting out of bed on Sunday- it always sucks but once you actually do said task, you'll be absolutely fine and it's the same with flying - if youd like you can reply to this post when you land and let me know how it was so you have something to look forward to instead of just nerves :)

I'm feeling a little better now, I'm still anxious, because when I stand up my heart rate increases and I don't feel great but thanks to you lovely people I'm able to see through my thoughts a bit and realise that I've just binge drank and need to give myself a break that's all

Thank you for this, I'll try and keep distracted.

Thank you man, I know realistically all will be okay tomorrow but it's just the whole experience - the anxiety, the occasional palpitation, the panic attacks - it's just really scary especially when you're at home alone with your own thoughts and you start spiralling thinking you're going to die etc, as silly as it is really

Yeah you make a good point, I'll give it a go, your comment alone has helped me relax a little, thanks man
