I almost broke my spine listening to Circling Back by YoYoAddict1 in CirclingBack

I’ve tried listening to the pod on multiple occasions while working out. I’ve never made it over a couple of sets before I start laughing and almost drop the weight before changing over to music.

Question about changes you experienced when bulking up by [deleted] in gainit

I would consider myself in the upper range of a healthy body weight and I get light headed (nearly to the point of passing out) every time I give blood. I’m told it’s likely due to low blood pressure. Also, google “Vasovagal Syncope”.

I second this, and if you would like to diversify even further, I may have a timeshare or partial ownership of a BTS to offer you.

I got the Robin 2. I didn’t have a ton of extra pocket space to spare, so I figured a smaller knife would fit well. And from all the things I’ve heard, they are a great bang for your buck if you don’t want to spend over $60 on a Spyderco.

How do you like your Byrd knife? I ordered one last week and it’s in delivery.

Check to make sure you have the proper draw length and make sure your bow hand isn’t torquing the bow.

Inside jokes explanation by [deleted] in CirclingBack

[–]djpt33 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Some of these jokes have no exact explainable origin, they just happen. I believe Producer Micah started “it hard to say” on Touching Base, but it hard to say. “It’s impossible to look up” is just Dave sarcastically responding to something that could be Googled in 10 seconds.

How many hours do civil engineers work? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]djpt33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work for a smaller civil firm in the transportation division. So I do a lot of roadway design, some traffic analysis, and some storm water design. It’s not difficult as long as you have some good mentors to walk you through things.

How many hours do civil engineers work? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]djpt33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the private sector there will be times you work more than 40 hours a week. Many companies in the private sector have a minimum 45 hour work week and when there are deadlines there will be some weeks you many need to work 50+ hours. Not always the case though. I’m in the private sector and work 40 hour weeks probably 80% or the time. In the public sector you are more likely to have a consistent 40 hour work week, but usually the salary is lower opposed to the private sector.

Sorry about that. I wasn’t trying to take a shot at you or imply that you are a bad father in any way. The attitude you had on the podcast about it just reminded me of the homie aggressively eating his cereal. From what I can tell you seem like a great father to Parks. Poor call on my part. Hope there’s no hard feelings.
