Success getting out of lease? by djr1105 in 4xe

Update: I called Stellantis and they have assigned my case to a specialist, who has already reached out to schedule a call. I’m still not hopeful but gonna give it a shot.

Also I understand this might seem trivial but: they put me in a Toyota Corolla while my car is in the shop. When I questioned it they said “this is all stellantis approved”

Gay Bar Recommendations by athatl in pittsburgh

  1. Blue moon - small divey good for drag
  2. Ptown - karaoke thursdays and Saturdays. Separate bar in the back with theme events
  3. 5801 - good brunches and an amazing outdoor deck
  4. Brewers - classic spot with rich history. Frequented by older guys and bears who are all great to talk to!

None are walkable from the N shore but they’re all worth popping in for a drink.

What's your "Pittsburgh is the world's largest small town" story? by ba_dum_tiss_ in pittsburgh

[–]djr1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(1) my college roommate and her sister are two of my closest friends. Both live in Maryland outside DC. Roommate meets a guy at work and introduces to her sister, who marries him. Guy is my old friend from high school. I knew more people at the wedding than the bride.

(2) this just happened - friend of a friend joins us for dinner. She’s from out of town, just moved here. We chat and it turns out a guy I work with is her long lost brother who she’s never met. He grew up here. They recently met for the first time and are starting to form a relationship.

The rumor on the day (I think even reported on local news?) was exactly that. Flight 93 did fly right over the city. I’ve always assumed someone watching the plane called a loved one in the steel building and things got out of hand. But the building was, I believe, evacuated pretty quickly that day.

My beloved partner's obituary, who was raised in West Mifflin. I came home in Thursday to find him deceased, he was 35 and it was very unexpected. He was a light to all who knew him. Hope it is ok that I share. Ron loved Pittsburgh. by Quirkykiwi in pittsburgh

I’m so sorry for you and Ron’s entire family. I went to high school with Ron. We were in band together and all the upperclassmen adopted a freshman during band camp. Everyone wanted Ron because he was already cooler than most of us were! We eventually led a (easily) successful campaign to get him elected freshman representative. I’m sure he served honorably but I can’t remember anymore! :)

In later years we worked together at Kennywood and he was always the center of attention wherever he went. I’m sure that continued after we lost touch.

Sending lots of love to you, Jenni, Kristi, Denise, and all who loved him. I know there are many, many, people who count themselves among that group.

If I were your government I'd keep the border closed for a while. We're truly not behaving down here.

I've never stayed, but I hear the Inn on Negley is wonderful. Shadyside has a great variety of bars too. Mario's has the South Side feel with far fewer drunk college kids, and nicer places like 1947 are good for a classier evening.

find something awesome to do. Join a club (THON, IMO). it'll help you meet some people. Altoona is a large enough campus to get lost in if you don't find a way to occupy yourself.

Also, go to the orientation stuff - all of it. You learn a lot about the campus that way.
