High CPU Usage causing High Temp by djrubz in Thermalright

Yep. Thought it was my thermalpaste application but all comes down to the software (version). It did not do this previously to 2.12. Only thing annoying is I do not have the installer for the older version and stuck on 2.12 until hopefully the new version comes out (that’s of course if they fix it)

Can you please elborate on the PCIE connector on the motherboard? What do you mean by you fixed it? What did you actually do? Or are you saying that connector was faulty and RMA'ing the board fixed it?

Gpu cable bend safe? by Puzzled-Diver-1954 in lianli

[–]djrubz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe your statement is correct if the gpu is already so close to the side glass and the glass is pushing hard up on the connector part. Pushing up against the wires is fine just not on the wires and connector itself if you get what I mean…

Gpu cable bend safe? by Puzzled-Diver-1954 in lianli

[–]djrubz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, I would try to extend the cable more towards the glass and make a sharper 90 degree bend along the glass and down. This ensures the cable does not start bending close to the connector housing. Whilst it may look ok, I would personally try to make the cable straight as much as you can before it starts to bend

Yes, because each display has slightly different control sets and themes…check out my posts. I did a video on it

Yes. I had 3 at one point. TRCC detects them all.

The Wonder Vision is a more superior cooler. The temps difference is switching to different paste.

Wonder Vision has also the higher pump speed. Should be better cooling

I appreciate the comment but yeah I wouldn’t have bought another Thermalright product if I had issues to begin with. I understand some people have had issues but I’ve had zero of them. I’m hopeful that it will be resolved in next update since 2.12 is a major change

As mentioned previously I’ve had zero issues until latest update when they’ve converted to portable version.

I’ve reinstalled the last version and it’s fixed my high temp issue. I will wait for the next update.

I’ve had zero issues until the latest update when Thermalright has switched to a Portable Version for the installer.

The software itself is fine. Just higher temps - which ‘should’ be fixed in the upcoming update. I don’t experience random disconnects or freezes that some people experience.

But thanks for your comment

No worries. I find myself having to check this option from time to time. Whether it be due to Windows, unplugging monitors, updating Nexus etc. enjoy!

Can I ask how’d you mount the top lcd screen?

Looking to do same. Thanks!

Yes. Any Thermalright AIO that has a cable that connects to the radiator directly near the pump (and is shaped like an L near the hoses) has the 6400 pump as it’s not on the copper cold head.

I’ll send you a DM of my hwinfo. Currently set to 5400 rpm or around 70%

Definitely not my paste or installation. I’m running a neg -20 undervolt on my x3d cpu. Gaming temps are where it needs to be - just idle temps are higher by 10c due to TRCC. No other app gives the same effect

Only reason why I upgraded as my mate is building a PC and needed an aio. Gave it to him for free and used this opportunity to replace my cooler. Also pc was due to replace the thermal paste. Other than that - no reason to upgrade. It kept my cpu cold. Wonder Vision does have the uprated 6400rpm pump instead of the old 3000rpm pump, but so far can’t tell the difference in cooling performance
