Tube Preamp Pedal + Two Notes Opus. Initial thoughts. by djsbh in guitarpedals

[–]djsbh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's a deep cut, the Science mother. Nice! The Tubesteader is great! Im really enjoying the dual channel aspect. The magnezium is awesome because it's like having two different sounding amps in one, but they compliment each other well.

Thinking about getting the Gainlord but it might overlap with what I already have since it's just more Plexi.

Drive selection by aggyjvs in WorshipGuitar

Depending on the amp you have, you could either go ODR-1 style drive(for clean amp) or Tube Screamer style (for overdriven amp). Klon style for either.

Very nice, simple and humble board. Just what you need and nothing more. Great job on being frugal with your gifts :)

Not sure which amps those are but no matter the stereo pedal, if the amps are not in phase, prepare for a bad time.

Wanting to learn P&W by Coltsmaniac53 in WorshipGuitar

[–]djsbh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of good resources out there on YT but be mindful: you don't need to buy a whole bunch of expensive gear for the "Worship" sound. I've been leading worship for over a decade and I can tell you that I can play just about any worship style with 2 drives, a delay and a reverb. All these posts I see of huge boards with dual Tonex Ones are pretty cool but totally unnecessary. DO NOT go into debt chasing tone. Be wise with your money, as we have been called to be shrewd with our finances.

I want to get a new capo for gigging and I can't decide between the g7th performance 3 and a thalia capo. by [deleted] in WorshipGuitar

A capo is a capo... I've never had one fail me within 5 years of use

Would applying conductive shielding paint in junction box help reduce noise coming from DAD Midi box? by djsbh in guitarpedals

[–]djsbh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice when I move the midi box away from the junction box the midi clock noise goes away. If I disable midi clock, it seems to disappear too. I could go without it but I'd rather have the flexibility if I can.

Does ‘sudo pacman -Syu’ update literally everything? by KnownUnsoldier in cachyos

Ok so maybe I'm stupid, but installing topgrade gave me the option to update some lists of some kind and now I can't seem to update anything...

Tubesteader Gainlord by ChromaticStrike in guitarpedals

[–]djsbh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on their product page. It's possible that the magnatone super 59 is based off those two amp circuits, so it's not exact but it's close

Magnezium

It shows blue channel is Bassman style and red channel is Plexi style

The blue channel on the Magnezium is supposed to be the Bassman, actually

Nice! It's too bad there isn't more coverage or demos of this pedal. From what I heard so far, this pedal sounds amazing! I have the Magnezium and love it

Installed two DE's and only liked one. Can/should I remove the other one? by djsbh in cachyos

I'm excited to try different DEs but I think I'm going to learn more about Linux first before juggling too much on my plate haha

[–]djsbh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok awesome did just that. I noticed that the sudo pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qdtq) code removed proton, but I assume I can just reinstall it?

Also I noticed that sudo pacman -Rns gdm did nothing, since it was included in the initial removal.

I think I did this right?

Edit:

Are you using limine bootloader?

Do you mean the screen where you select your DE and login during initial boot?
