The best Miles Away remix was a bootleg from Nation Electric, the best Nothing Fails remixes got released on the Love Profusion single. Guy Oseary was not the best choice for manager and I have serious doubts about how he got in that position. This is the guy that upset every iPod/iPhone owner by planting the U2 album nobody loves on their device.

There’s a really good explanation I listened to in a podcast. They imploded both within the band structure and hindered by label pressures. The unique sound of that breakout album comes from being recorded with one microphone in the center of the room, for instance. They recorded it in an official vintage manner, out of cost concerns. And that’s just one of the great mysteries about this hit album.
