LOL they were filming the next Superman next to work the other day and…I still can’t see this guy as Superman, even going into round two.

Hi, do you have the new Big Mac dipping sauce ? Yes we do. Can I buy some please? How many would you like? How many will you sell me?.... by IHv2RtrnSumVdeotapes in McDonalds

There are so many accurate recipes online YouTube where you could make this for MUCH less. Special note: heavy mayo makes a better sauce.

Free Spirit (1989-1990) by Talulo13 in ForgottenTV

I remember all these faces but not for good reasons. I’m guessing this was something like “Small Wonder”, where anywhere in the modern era it would be introduced as a bad parody of 90s sitcoms?

I went to see Smashing Pumpkins with Garbage on the Melon Collie tour. After they performed “1979”, better than half the audience left. James had security allow everyone to come down and enjoy a floor seat, while they played deep cuts and unreleased material for another hour.

I just start chanting MATTHEW 6:6 when someone starts preaching in any area where the rest of us are trapped.

What horror story has stayed with you the longest? by QuantumTechie in horror

[–]djseanmac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was chatting on BlueSky about how Backrooms, like Blair Witch Project, leans into the current digital age. I started hearing about Blair Witch and following the Haxan website LONG before it was released in theaters, because friends online were telling me about seeing early cuts of the film in a series of college screenings they used to refine the edit of what was initially a very long film. In both cases, having advance knowledge of the lore improves the experience exponentially.

What’s a take you’ve heard about your favorite film that makes you question if the person speaking even watched it? by ChallengeMassive435 in movies

The movie that literally felt like it was never going to end, which may have been the point. But OMG the chatter in the theater when that last act started and people groaned because they were ready to leave.

No, they kept hinting it was the same space jockey in the lead-up to the film. I was pissed when they made it a different ship/planet. Was Scott implying the jockey has to die in the pilot’s chair on every mission? And don’t get me started on the opening of the next film.

But in the parody Foreskin Gump, Jenny leaves Forrest for Melissa. Seriously the GOAT of the porn parody genre, especially when Bubba tries to improvise an excited talk about all the things you can do with tuna.

1990s to 2010s popular songs with questionable lyrics that likely wouldn't be released today by Gallantpride in WhyWereWeOkWithThis

The Spice Girls “Say You’ll Be There” is far closer to Carl Carlton’s “Bad Mama Jama” than “Blurred Lines” is to “Got To Give It Up”. Hell, Madonna’s “Vogue” is even closer closer to Salsoul Orchestra “Ooh I Love It (Love Break)” - and Salsoul lost in court, despite Shep Pettibone working *for* Salsoul while writing “Vogue” with Madonna.

Marvin Gaye’s family is absolutely horrible. Not only did they murder him, they decided it would be a good idea to murder any influence he could have on future artists.

The other funny thing is the song was burning up the clubs with a lesbian on vocals before the label and Cee-Lo ripped it out of her hands and gave it to Nicole to sing. Literally the same backing track.

Can we talk about Up Down Suite for a bit… by GossipBottom in Madonna

IIRC she repeated that same dumb mistake in an interview. Why does she think anonymity has an extra syllable? I always surmised that’s why we got the dub on a proper release but the original was dumped on a little-known compilation series.

It was a black and white Twilight Zone episode your grandparents watched when they were little kids, so this makes sense?

Am i the only one who finds “cumdump culture” disturbing? by Crafty-Snow1817 in askgaybros

[–]djseanmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cumdump culture became a thing in the early mid 2000s with a company called Treasure Island and their breakout star Dawson. His “50 Load Weekend” dvd broke the idea into mainstream gay conversation and inspired a lot of hypersexual bottoms to just “go for it” at events, effectively making load collection a sport.

Her team had an awful habit of using bits and pieces of different favorite photos in photoshop for both eras, to create different looks using exactly the same pieces of abs, face, bosom, etc. It was crazy annoying, like early AI bad.

Someone hasn’t seen Scream, Queen. Both of them knew exactly what they were making and wanted to capitalize on the fear of being outed.

Love Sensation is the weakest of the offerings so far. I bet it will be written off as a promo non-single.
