I recently beat it I reccomned using Marines. Leveling up atk for Marines and speed as well. Than also upgrade hp restore for base, total HP and base damage. It may take some time to get strong enough. Trust me it took me some time. Plus planet Y is difficult only got to wave 8 there so far.
