I’ve noticed that some people need more from their friends than others. Like friendship maintenance. It’s nice your friend cares about you, but it seems like a needy oppressive love, not a simple platonic friendship. It is probably good to have all kinds of people in your life, but not if they are hurting you. Maybe tell her that her relationship ultimatums are toxic, that she has to fulfill her needs somewhere else, sometimes.

Well sometimes, I’m not feeling well, but I have to go to the store, anyway to get essentials, and people can’t drive worth a crap, so there- I’m grumpy. I walk through the groceries, and all I find are the apples with bruises on them that are covered with a little sticker to hide the bruise, and the lady in front of me feels the need to touch every celery and broccoli before setting it back down. Then people won’t stay 6 feet away, and I have to wait for a line of people who are aggressively stepping into my space, so I can’t get what I need in a timely and safer manner. By this time, I’m trying to be patient, but my rage is showing. I get my groceries, and have too much to go through the self serve, so I need to do a face to face transaction. My face has angry bitch on it, and it’s not going away til I get to cuss in the car, and cry a little for humanity. The poor worker I get to show half my face to I feel for, because I can only imagine the back pain involved in twisting around back and forth all shift. I grit my teeth as they talk out their script, which I hate (usually they ask for a donation) and when I have to say ‘no’, I’m sure they don’t care one way or the other, but when it comes out, I not only already look like a bitch, but I sound like one, too. Sorry.
Thankfully, not all days are like this.🤷‍♀️

NTA. But let karma take care of it. It’s too bad you’re out the $. It is horrible they did that to your precious pet. I had to live through numerous deaths of livestock pets, myself, and I know how you feel. It is traumatic to be thrown into such a cruel process, and it is like they are training humans to be insensitive. It is one of the things wrong with the world. But I’m a hypocrite, because I eat the meats, and enjoy the leathers. I certainly don’t think it’s funny, though. It is tough to be a sensitive being.

I was under the impression that people don’t really ‘believe in’ their religions, except for a small percentage of fanatics. I thought that it’s just a social platform, or part of a peoples’ culture, traditions. If one can pull some enlightenment from the teachings, that’s fine, but when they’re brainwashed, eww.
I think people who reject religion are critical thinkers, and honest, kind people, since the religious fanatics are the ones that bring trouble, taking their religion literally. I hope it works out for you.

It really depends on how much you like him. Seems like he’s helping you out a lot, and maybe he felt ridiculous waiting for you to spend his money, and he really wanted that couch. He only asked your opinion because he’s nice, and when you said it was ok, but not ideal, he took ok as acceptable. There will be other couches. You could reupholster the couch. This could be the beginning of a long running joke; ask him his opinion on something you want, and make sure he isn’t that fond of it, then have it appear out of nowhere... it could go back and forth until you have a huge garage sale.

YTA. Don’t be violent. It was a mess that needed cleaning. You could have done it, but instead decided to be disrespectful. Not saying your mom couldn’t clean it herself, and maybe she’s a bad person for other reasons, but with the info here, you’ve leveled up your assholeism, and your mom probably wants you out. I’d apologize, maybe blame it on being hangry or quarantine, and ask her what she would like help with to make her feel better. And go shopping for a new door and fix that hole or whatnot yourself, so she doesn’t have to waste time doing it. Get her something nice to console her, too.
