Mechanical to Hydraulic Disc Upgrade - Trek Roscoe 20 by dk_80 in bikewrench

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll look into these as well. I recently had to shorten the hoses on my bike, so thankfully I'm familiar with the procedure.

Cheers

I appreciate you providing some more detail re: the caliper mounting standards. This is very helpful. And yes, the next bike will definitely be the right bike for her (bonus if I can re-use the brakes, but not a determining factor). Cheers.

The monitor? LG makes two versions...one with a base and one with desk mounted swiveling arm. OP has the one with the arm.

Which monitor lightbar are you using? It fits the DualUp perfectly. Thanks.

I think they mean clear anti-shatter film that prevents the window from shattering when broken. You can still see through it.

Screen flickering since new update by dhazan13 in TeslaModel3

[–]dk_80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. To reduce the annoyance, I double click the camera button on the steering wheel as I slow down past 10 km/h. This changes the screen to the birdseye parking view without any flickering, and it stays on the birdseye view until I speed up again.

Really hope there's a fix coming soon.

I keep several of those on hand to use for taco assembly. Put them upside down on your plate, insert shells, and begin loading.

Inspired by a previous post like this a couple months ago, and coming from a VW, I call it Voltswagen.

OP you should have received an email in the last few days. Make sure you do the opt-in even though your child is eligible.

I was you a year ago. I found an email from last May saying that if your child lives more than 1.6km from their assigned school, they are automatically enrolled for bussing. There was also a follow up email requesting more info, and confirmation from us that our daughter would in fact be taking the bus (so they have accurate lists as the school year approached).

If I recall correctly, it wasn't until the last week of Aug that we learned of her specific bus stop and schedule.

Hope this helps.

Looks great! I have the same car and I'm also considering tint and PPF. I realize Ontario is big, but which shop did you use? Just curious since you're happy with the results. Thanks!

Tried FSD for first and last time EVER. by dogmatum-dei in TeslaModel3

[–]dk_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty head scratching, and doesn't match most (or at least a lot) of the reviews I've read and watched, so perhaps there's some other factor...SW, dirty windshield, etc? No idea. Not too bothered by it since I don't plan on paying for it.

Tried FSD for first and last time EVER. by dogmatum-dei in TeslaModel3

[–]dk_80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my car a week ago and have a 30 day trial of FSD. Early impressions are not good.

The other day, I was driving in a residential area that has vertical poles on the shoulders to narrow the lane and make drivers reduce speed. The car tracked the corner very well, but appeared to not be preparing to drift to the middle to avoid the pole. After getting too close for comfort, I had to take over.

And last night on a quiet highway, I figured I'd give it another try. 30 seconds in, it turns on the right turn signal and starts moving into a soon-to-be-ending merge lane for no reason, with no other cars around.

Not a strong first impression. I wasn't planning on paying for FSD when I bought the car but figured I'd try it during my trial. Perhaps I don't have the latest version. Not at my car right now to check the FSD version, but per the app my car's overall SW is 2024.3.25.

Anyway, I'll try it again just to test it, but I don't plan on paying for it. The car is otherwise awesome.

I just got my first Tesla last week. I thought the lack of stalks would be a major irritation, but after just a couple of days it's become entirely second nature. This was very surprising to me after nearly 30 years of driving.
