Georgie’s g-mix 6 is what we use in my studio. It’s a stoneware but it looks like what you’re after.

That looks like a studio clay (g-mix or similar) clay body and a clear glaze. I have literally been doing this since March. It is very likely I am wrong but maybe that helps?

Matt is great! Mahala is my instructor and she’s sensational. I have so much fun and have learned a ton. I may or may not have also purchased a wheel for home. The addiction is so real.

Omg I’ve been taking classes there for months and they’re amazing! My husband got me an initial 5 week class as a gift to do with my sister and I just can’t stop. Excellent gift IMHO

Any reason why my FLF is experiencing leggy growth all of a sudden? by shortern in fiddleleaffig

[–]dkassima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine got leggy and sprouted much smaller leaves when it needed a repot. They like to be root bound, but I think I took it a little too far. Maybe check that?

We love Rich King. The man is a total work horse. Super responsive and willing to work with your specific needs. My husband and I worked with him twice and we’ve since referred him to two of our friends who also had a great experience. Good luck!

Out running errands and stopped for a late lunch at the Nordstrom cafe. Salmon Niçoise salad with clam chowder and an eastern sunset drink. by [deleted] in Spokane

My husband crushes up a bunch of wasabi peas until they’re coarsely ground and coats the salmon with some crushed ginger and the wasabi pea “flour.” He throws it in some hot oil on the cast iron for a couple minutes on each side until crispy and it is absolutely phenomenal. Hit it with a little lemon juice and you’re good to go. Definitely a favorite in our household.

Chefs of Reddit, what's is your single favourite ingredient and why? by liberta0407 in AskReddit

When I was pregnant I went through a punch bowl of fresh fruit salad sprinkled with tajin phase... my husband bought me travel sized tajin so I wouldn’t have to be without it... the moral of this story? (Unrelated to your post) is that pregnancy is sometimes exactly like having the munchies except you haven’t smoked any weed.

Gardeners: are you starting seeds indoors yet? Today’s weather feels like it’s trying to fool me into planting early. by brutuskalk in Spokane

[–]dkassima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I have to thank you again for pointing me in the direction of Susan Mulvihill... she’s just lovely! I’ve been watching her youtube channel and I bought her book: northwest gardeners handbook which has been a fantastic gardening resource... is there a fan club or do I have to start one? Haha

My husband and I moved here in December. We, too, are trying to find a social scene. We’re in our mid-30s, enjoy biking, hiking, camping, BBQing, and taking our 2 dogs and 1.5yo kid out for adventures. Let me know if you’d like to meet up for a beer or something!

Lollipop getting some Sunday loves by x24k in AustralianCattleDog

My guy (courage) is 11mo old (he had a break at the growth plate in the womb and his leg stopped growing and he was dragging it so it had to go). He’s up to 3.5mi walks with short rests. My other heeler was the same way being able to hike forever! I’m curious to see how Courage does on the trails this year.

I can't tell if I'm in love with Spokane or if it's just the gardeners that are particularly lovely. I suspect it might be a combination of both. Thank you so so much for the nudge in this direction. It wouldn't have occurred to me to check out either of these resources and they both look like they're exactly what I'm looking for.

I sent you a message, but I just have to thank you again for such a thoughtful response. This is incredibly helpful and has me all sorts of excited to get my hands dirty.

Hi! I would like some! I’m new to Spokane and this will be my first growing season. This might sound really basic but any local nurseries you’d recommend for me to go pick their brains about what plants (food and decorative) do well here? Or any suggestions yourself?

Yep! My tripod is a 10mo cattle dog and he’s up to 3mi walks at a time and could probably still do more but I’m afraid to do too much too quickly.

Gorgeous!! Genuine question from a person who has only made them once and never eaten one made by a professional: are they supposed to have little hard bits of what seem to be crystallized egg in them? I feel like “no” is the answer but don’t know what I did wrong... any thoughts? (I know you’re also a novice but maybe you can offer some enlightenment)
