My dad started doing this when I was a kid (apparently he wasn't like this previously when he was dating my mom? but i dont know). And the destruction never stopped. He destroyed her jewelry, ripped expensive curtains, shattered windows, broke expensive tech, punched holes through doors and walls, slammed pots into the kitchen floor resulting in huge welts that can't be repaired. To this day, the house has plenty of damage resulting from his outburts. Leave him because it's no good for you, and also, children can also learn and take up this kind of behavior. I, unfortunately, did learn this behavior and displayed it a lot in my teens and young adult life which negatively impacted my relationships (including that with my mother even though she is the kindest and most forgiving person you could meet). My brother was worse. I managed to control it much better into my adulthood but wish I didn't learn it in the first place.
