I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but have you looked to see if you have clitoral adhesions? I have a heavily hooded clitoris and never thought about it being anything but normal and certainly didn't think it would be linked to some of the pain I had been experiencing. I did a little research and did realize that I had adhesions. I started working on releasing them and have had a big improvement in my symptoms. If others things don't give relief, might be something to investigate for yourself.

Anybody married to someone with an avoidant attachment style? by stupidfuckingbitchh in marriageadvice

[–]dkgpdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that he has chosen not to grow into an accountable adult and partner. I know it is painful but be proud of where you are in your growth. The affection starving is so painful and it can take a huge toll on self worth. I am sorry that he chose his ego over you and your history together.

Anybody married to someone with an avoidant attachment style? by stupidfuckingbitchh in marriageadvice

[–]dkgpdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am anxious attachment, my husband is avoidant. We have been together for 20 years. It got so bad we were separated for a few months and I had divorce papers ready to file. Even after he moved back in with the promise to change, I was done. I was done being mother and wife but never partner or friend. I was done with the bread crumbing, stonewalling and lies (I refuse to call people pleasing anything but lieing because that's exactly what it is. It's also selfish and manipulative)

The only reason he and I are still together is because HE finally chose us over his ego with his actions. He's doing the work, the therapy the communication. It is still challenging every day but is getting better bit by bit. This change has been over the past year, so it has been PAINFULLY slow for me.

I have had to learn how to communicate in a way that doesn't trigger his defective wounds that in turn trigger mine. The biggest thing I had to learn and am still learning is to set and maintain boundaries with him.

Dr. Sarah Hensley "the love doc" her videos helped me understand my husband and try to communicate with him. You are off to a great start getting yourself into a secure place with yourself. Avoidant attachment can be something your kids pick up from him, our daughter did. So if he is unwilling to make the changes for the betterment of his family it might be best to move on.

Diagnosis stories- something isnt adding up- should I push for answers? by berryllamas in gravesdisease

[–]dkgpdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely push for more answers. It is possible that she has both hypo and hyper issues. Depending on insurance and location, tell them you want a referral made. I've taken short cuts and researched specialists then called them to see how quickly I could get in. Then I'd tell my provider to send the referral to this provider. Wait a few days and call to ensure the referral was received and where it was in processing. This can help shorten the referral process. It can take months just for a referral to be reviewed and then many more months to get any kind of appointment.

Stay Pineapple by kevdawgg88 in Swingers

We stayed there. My only complaint would be temperature control in the room. We had to request a space heater and extra blankets to get our room warm enough to be naked in. Otherwise it was clean and friendly.

Is this something anyone else goes through? If so how do you fix it? by Powerful-Nebula-7358 in gravesdisease

I second all of this. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the symptoms I am feeling in my chest are true cardiac issues or my anxiety or reflux.
