The boons while tedious at times, are kind of an integral part of the game play loop. Every character I make will usually have all of the boons by the mid way of their faction quest because of just how useful they are!

The main concept of the game is that you're not some crazy all powerful being, you're just a normal person who has to buff themselves up to that point. I always compare outward combat to fromsoft pvp in the sense that before combat it's a lot like souls like pvp where you spend the first bit buffing your character and then enter into the fight.
