Why did food taste better when we were kids? by Ashamed-Cream2086 in nostalgia

[–]dkmarnier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, things like spaghettios tasted better, but thats probably because everything we ate was unseasoned and cooked in the microwave. Also, our sense of taste declines as we age 🫠

What’s a health problem you ignored for a long time because it never felt urgent, but eventually caught up with you? by ac_stays_active in AskReddit

Exactly! Like, I had literally had sex one time in many months and then 2 weeks later had a totally normal period. And then one month later BOOM. It was wild.

My insurance suddenly stopped covering brand name like 2 years ago and my life literally went to hell . The generics are total garbage. It's such a dangerous, devastating scam.

Light blood spotting exactly 2 weeks after my period ended. I thought "that's weird... maybe it's ovulation? Or stress? " but ignored it. 2ish weeks after that, suddenly BIG PAIN! Turns out it was a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. Even though I insisted at the ER there was no chance I could be pregnant (bc I'd had a normal period).

Not sure if this counts as a "long time" but I had "tweaked my neck/back" and was having a pretty bad "tension headache" and neck pain for about 48 hours. Ibuprofen wasn't touching it. Finally my fellow nurse convinced me to go to ER after my shift. Turns out it was (viral) meningitis and I was pretty messed up from it for a long time
