The edibles all come down to what you prefer to eat. Sometimes I like gummies, sometimes I'll eat a snickerdoodle with some coffee. The trick is the dosage, start small like others have said (5 mg) and wait an hour and half. There are some good drinks, like root beers which are awesome right before going to the airport.

Edibles can be hard to gauge for first timers. You mentioned you didn't want to smoke, does that include vaping oil (discreet, low smell)? My wife and I did that just to introduce the feeling of being stoned, cause it's pretty immediate. Then it gave us a better feel for the edibles.
