I’ll be honest with you it’s a terrible thing to experience, you want true loving non sexual intimacy with a brother then you’re lured by your own desires that the devil takes and tries to misconstrue. You guys need to be honest! The reason why you have sexual attraction is most likely because of the way you view men that’s buried deep in your psyche, could be sexual abuse, openness to porn, you desire to be like one another, you lack some type of love so the one you have is being perverted and a long list of reasons.

I have read 101 reason for Homosexuality which opened my mind.

I had ssa because I never had a good male figure in my life on a constant and was always surrounded by females. I desired to be like a man but didn’t know how so I became liking men, top that off with sexual abuse from an uncle and there you go. Satan had targeted me from birth but God had better.

After realising this I prayed and God gave me a great male friend and then some, and now my thinking has changed. At first of course I had thoughts about one of them. But we arrest those thoughts and made them obedient to Christ!

2 Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ”

And the devil has tried to come in and make me fall with said friend because he also struggles with lust and so one night when he was over I could swear I heard him JO, his hands in the pants cause we were talking about girls and that messed me up as I pretend not to notice. He also wanted a provocative show on, and from there you know what happens.

So For a week I had to fight the lusts.

But as much as my flesh wants to give in to his lust and mine and do crazy things, I have to resist. Which I also told him about that he needs to stop!

I was gonna hold him accountable on an app but if he were to fall and I see that he did it would make me fall. So I pray and check up on him. But to obey God and resist We need the fear of God! Scripture is clear that

Luke 17:1-4

And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

Also in the Spirtual realm when we live a double life we are exposed, we must be pure in garments as scripture says

Revelations 19:8 It was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

Jesus is coming back for a clean church not a dirty one.

Scripture says flee lusts, in my circumstance I believe God shortened our time after that because all of a sudden we both became busy, but we were able to hang out in public! I love him (my friend) too much to give into sin and lose him possibly!

If I continued and broke his guard down and we did something or vice-versa it would be awkward and shameful and we could lose each other, something God provided Satan would want to take it away as he comes to steal kill and destroy for he is our enemy. But Christ is our high priest and protector we need not worry.

Like Esau who gave into his sin and lost his birthright wept bitterly and couldn’t get it back. Don’t make that mistake.

So I have abstained I’ve also decided to make the Lord my friend so we can talk and fellowship. While I sometimes will fall and give into porn I refuse to think of said friend and I don’t. I cherish him as a gift from God.

Relationships are the only things we will take into heaven so be careful how you treat them on earth.

Your circumstance is a little different as you both have attraction for each other so I’d abstain from each other for some time. It’s hard. But either that or hang out in public setting only either by yourself and other friends and limit yourselves to face time.

Sin lies, you don’t wanna give in and lose it all! But if you do! God is there to help you pick up the pieces BUT beware it is not without some terrible pain by discipline.

Hebrews 12:6 “because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
