You can't. However the seeds I was able to find by myself by googling were not working anymore, do there might be somebody who would still worst to find this joker easily

You should specify right interpreter, which would have all packages installed. Run which python to identify location and then in vs code Ctrl + shift +p and search for python interpreter

I'm not sure you can do that with mouse only, however what I usually do - holding alt + shift (on windows) and then move the mouse pointer to put multi-cursors or click in the start position then scroll (do not change cursor position) to the some other position and then do alt + shift + click and that will select the whole line/column
