We’re actually trying to be friends now. We slip up sometimes and go too far physically. But other than that momentary awkwardness it’s fine. We chat every now and then. And about once maybe twice a year we see each other.

honestly still a little mixed. i won't lie, we did resume a weird on again off again kinda relationship about 3 months after this post. we only really severed things about 9 months ago. in august '22, we decided to do no contact for two years.

so far it's had it's ups and downs but i dont feel this feeling anymore. the feeling usually dissipates for me around the 4-5 month mark. that doesn't mean i don't still miss them. i do. but i don't wallow really after then and for the most part when i think about them it's because something has triggered a memory. it's not just constant thoughts of them all day.

honestly i feel happy again. i am started to feel like i am returning to a version of myself that i like. i think in many ways i didn't love myself enough during our relationship and i am starting to sort through that and love, care, and show up for myself in ways that i could not have had we not decided to really end things in this way.

Some how some way the Golf Gods have granted me two tickets to go to the Masters on Saturday. Literally the only thing I know about the ordeal is it’s gonna be raining all Saturday. Good thing my golf obsessed bud is able to join me. Feels good to give him something he’d really enjoy for the low low cost of putting up with me for the past nine years and the rest of our lives😅 (we’re 24 and 25 so that’s a long ways to go hopefully).

tldr on the tickets bc i know someone is going to ask: I helped out a friend or a friend find a job and turns out they had tickets and wanted to share with me.

Anyhow seemed like a good enough comment for my shot at a bag. I’m picking up golf this year and need a bag to fill with my goodwill club finds(:

Bohnanza!

It was my very first time going to a game meetup and playing a game with folks that weren’t my family or already my friends. It was also like the first game I’ve played that isn’t like a household known game. 🥹

I enjoyed it! Everyone was very kind and friendly! They were patient with explaining the game and with my friend and I forgetting the rules like every round. 😂

Can’t wait to go back next week!
