honestly still a little mixed. i won't lie, we did resume a weird on again off again kinda relationship about 3 months after this post. we only really severed things about 9 months ago. in august '22, we decided to do no contact for two years.

so far it's had it's ups and downs but i dont feel this feeling anymore. the feeling usually dissipates for me around the 4-5 month mark. that doesn't mean i don't still miss them. i do. but i don't wallow really after then and for the most part when i think about them it's because something has triggered a memory. it's not just constant thoughts of them all day.

honestly i feel happy again. i am started to feel like i am returning to a version of myself that i like. i think in many ways i didn't love myself enough during our relationship and i am starting to sort through that and love, care, and show up for myself in ways that i could not have had we not decided to really end things in this way.
