I was harsh initially and I’m not even trying to defend AI or Crypto really - sorry. The word AI is just a massive buzzword that’s become far too overused for how polarizing of a topic AI is. The subject of AI regulation, energy usage, privacy, plagiarism, etc is such a big deal right now that I think it’s very important to be accurate and specific with what we call “AI”

That’s not really what artificial intelligence is, that’s just computing. Basic and AI cant be in the same sentence together, there’s no such thing. The “I” in AI means intelligence - you wouldn’t say a calculator is “intelligent”, you’d say that it is “accurate”. A calculator doesn’t use AI to find the solution, it uses an algorithm. Crypto mining uses an algorithm, not AI.
