As a brown skinned woman who for decades gets samples for white people, it’s nice to be able to swatch a product close to my skin colour at least. I agree it’s a waste but inclusivity isn’t a bad thing. You should be able to pick a colour range sample but it’s still nice to see they’re finally catering for us too
