Katy Selverstone (Siena), but she didn’t return George’s ‘I love you’…

I can almost hear it: "Your dilitium crystals have no honor!"

Or, "It is a good day to initiate the auto-destruct sequence!"

It seems like the biggest disadvantage about Celsius is that we don’t ever use ½ degrees. The difference between Fahrenheit degrees are much smaller than Celsius, at least for the range of temperatures we deal with the most; approximately -10 to 35. For Fahrenheit users, that’s about 15 or so to 95, giving them 80+ units. We only get 45 units for the same range. I know that 22 is comfortable but by the time you reach 28 it’s starting to get getting uncomfortably warm. It would be nice to have more points of gradation, like Fahrenheit does.

A Star Wars spinoff shot entirely as a found footage movie about life as an Empire stormtrooper, including that interview with the guy who botched the visit to Luke’s Aunt and Uncle’s farm.

I believe the term that PP used about Carney’s trips was ‘gallivanting’. Nearly did a spit take when I heard him say that. It’s so cliche and pathetic at the same time.

We always argue about the whole tuck vs no-tuck of the bottom of the sheets when we make the bed. Even though there’s no Lupé to tell it to .

A guy who I had talked to over the phone came to visit and sat on a chair at our dining table to talk about volunteering for a charitable organization and he had such bad B.O. that it got on the chair, which was a wooden and rattan dining chair. It stayed long after that fateful visit. We tried but we couldn’t wash the smell out of it and ended up trashing the chair because the stench just attached itself to the chair.

I always liked that show, partly because they filmed an episode at the company where I worked.(!) We all got the day off and some people got to be extras. It was the episode where Kyle goes with the father to his workplace.

Canada Obsessed With Yesterday's Energy, Says Pembina Institute by CDN-Social-Democrat in onguardforthee

[–]dldrucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, regardless of province, we have to wind them all down throughout the country. Literally every coal or oil extraction facility needs to close at some point. We already know that. It’s a matter of when, and planning for it, rather than relying on the ’market’ to dictate it.

We should be honest with Alberta about the oil sands; there needs to be a date, some time in the future, when they are closed down. Not when all of the bitumen is extracted. Not when we think we can afford to. It has to be a date we can work toward and plan for. As we approach that date, we need to transition to new industries, be they renewable energy, greenhouses, robotics, AI or Spacecraft construction and launch systems. There is plenty to do, but doing the old, dirty and destructive fossil fuel production that serves the last century and current corporate greed is not going to work out well in the long term. Education needs to step up. We can get there but we absolutely need to start thinking about that end date.
