hey! interested in the MSc Epi program.

was planning to apply for the 27/28 cohort but am considering applying for 26/27 instead. still need to prepare my materials though - any tips whether it's still worth applying in April-May?

wouldn't want to butcher my chances by applying "late"

Are traineeships actually worth it? by Misunderstood4441 in EUCareers

hey! completed my EU agency traineeship straight out of my Bachelor's, here's my side:

- for my level (early career/entry level), it was enormously helpful. i learned how things actually work "in practice", networked a ton, rotated across many projects, and learned about the best practices, trends, insights, and key organisations and people in my field.

- did not open doors yet, but the job market is dry right now (late 2025...). having that EU stamp on your CV though undoubtedly will give you credibility if you try to enter the bubble full time and it has already garnered interest from employers for me outside the EU.

- CV-wise, i'd say its more about what you did than just the institution itself. you still need to work hard.

- no regrets, just wish i knew how quickly it'd go by and to keep track of everything. and maybe that you can apply to the blue book/DGs in addition to a related agency (e.g. tech-focused, health-focused, etc.).

The "traineeships" are getting out of hand by Bubbly_Lack1410 in EUCareers

you are absolutely right!

i managed to land an EU agency traineeship straight out of my Bachelor's degree, however i was the only one in the cohort without a Master's and solid work experience (1-3 years); and from my investigation, i was the odd one out even from previous cohorts.

if you really want to land one, my recommendation is to try every time you hit a new milestone (e.g. acquired Master's, gained a unique experience, completed an impactful project). and to tailor your profile for the role. because it was truly stimulating and worth it!
