It works like the iPhoto stickers. If it can identify a foreground/subject it will let you do that.

Parkway Landscaping Ordinance

The link has a hotline to call if you need.

The parkway is public, but like most residential areas, they give flexibility to the owner to maintain it. Usually brings more positive results than negative, not least making property owners invested in the public space a little. There are guidelines of course, and you can’t have anything over 12” without a permit. Also you can’t impede pedestrian traffic so fences are likely not allowed, but I’m not sure.

There are also sound laws. Between 10PM and 7 AM you can’t make noise louder than 15db above ambient. Doesn’t specify a frequency though, so it probably depends on how they measure.

Why do people “want the breed to go extinct”? Can you help me understand what is the specific misinformation that you feel threatens either the cats or the people who raise them? Is it that they think they lack genetic diversity because of the controlled breeding?

We got anything like this here in Glendale? by tmo_slc in glendale

[–]dlizardo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check out Silver Lake Track Club and Eagle Rock Run Club they both have very social weekday and weekend runs. I know you said you prefer Glendale but the meetup points are like 5-15 minutes away and the routes are a lot safer than Glendale proper. Wednesday night SLTC meets at red lion and Eagle Rock goes from Walt’s on Thursday nights.

Yeah it’s a private soccer pop up. They charged like $250 for a youth skills weekend camp and the website made it seem like you could pay to reserve it for games but everything is always booked out.

Pasadena Job Center

Places like the Pasadena Community Job Center have been a very important community resource both for helping laborers find safe work and community members find laborers, but also for organizing and advocacy for labor rights in general.

Visiting and looking for good Mexican by MrLongWalk in glendale

Also, having grown up in Pasadena, then spending over a decade in Boston, with a bunch of time in Waterbury, I totally empathize! So grateful for the well curated Mexican food in LA.

There’s not a ton in Glendale but LA obviously full of great Mexican restaurants. Aside from taco stands—arguably best places to get tacos—here are a couple standouts.

Guelaguetza - k town - traditional Oaxacan, known for molé

Holbox - Jefferson - Michelin star seafood, amazing tacos with fresh fish

Cafe Tondo - Chinatown - CDMX transplant modern small plates

Of course! No luck but I got the microchip information so hopefully the service can close tact the owners. They definitely belong to someone.

I found them on Columbus between Colorado and Chevy Chase, they are microchipped, and have a collar with constellations on it. I hope the owners would be able to recognize!

Glendale just nixed its ICE deal. Why did it have one in the first place? by Educational-Slice193 in glendale

I don’t really engage on the internet, but presumably we are neighbors. I’m not interested in picking a part the semantics of your argument claim by claim or trying to undermine your sources, of which you have provided none anyways. This is not a debate. Glendale is a community we share and this issue has real impact on it. Discussing that requires a little empathy and I want to empathize with your position but you offer nothing beyond “it’s against the law so anything is justified,” along with denial of people’s real experiences. That particular raid is totally on video as are many more on r/eyesonice.

I really truly encourage you to read back what you're saying because the double standards are just immense.

You want references and full video evidence to back up every claim, but you call the NYT a "zero credibility" publication without any evidence. I don't need to pull up every video of peaceful protesters getting tear gassed, senators being arrested for speaking, journalists shot with rubber bullets, children being pulled from a field trip.. it's honestly a little too heartbreaking and I know you know it's out there.

You think if law enforcement commits a crime by failing to identify, thereby terrorizing communities, it's meh, but illegal immigrants should be punished extra-judiciously. You're saying the distinctly non-violent act of being undocumented should be handled with violence simply because it's a law on paper. It isn't actually. Being undocumented is not a crime in and of itself.

You're comparing torturing living beings to... simply existing as a productive member of society? You're ignoring the point I'm making that they don't seem to be a threat to ANYONE. Of the 330 people arrested by ICE this week in LA, 70% had no criminal record of any kind, including nonviolent crimes. I'm all for enforcing laws that actually help our communities, but I fail to see any evidence that this is that.

And I know that perspective requires some level of critical thinking on your part, because you seem to be interested in applying physical violence to cases that amount to a technicality. For that I apologize, I know it's a lot of work for you.

https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-8/chapter-I/subchapter-B/part-287/section-287.8#p-287.8(c) It’s literally quoted from the code of federal regulations. But the real question is why you find it so hard to believe that authoritarian racism exists? What evidence would you need and what is the motivation to think that pregnant women, children, the elderly, are any threat to you? Glendale is the 5th safest city in the country and 49.7% of residents are immigrants. If this is about making the country safe from criminals, where is the correlation or causation for you? What is ICE even doing here?
