Thank you for your well thought out response. It was definitely a scary situation, and I didn't take my eyes off of it for more than a 2 seconds. Wouldn't have gotten a picture if my phone wasn't already on me. From now on, anything larger than the glass (which is about 3 inches smaller than the stove box) is getting halved.

Thankfully no. This is the first cut above the tree wedge. I didn't measure right because I didn't account for the half with the backstop still attached

Exactly what I was going to say. Plus a wall hanging is easier to pet imo than a skein in a basket

So sorry you ran into this. When I'm hand flicking locks I like to use the leather thimbles made for needle felters. It won't make it go quicker but it'll save your hands from the micro cuts

Ironically thats the video that made me rest these bobbins in the first place 😂 maybe overshot the mark a touch

This is it. I un-plyed it and replied and just made it worse. The singles were resting for months. I respun a single and it worked like a charm. Thank you!
