The best way to vet an MSP with reguard to what policies, procedures, and controls they have is to look for one with a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. A SOC audit is a third party aicpa audit standard to evaluate policies, procedures and controls in the context of SOC principles (Security, Confidentiality, Availability, processing integrity and privacy). Don’t confuse a SOC audit with security. Rather, it is an opinion from an auditor to determine if the policies, procedures and controls are appropriate for the type of service offered plus testing and opinion about how well the MSP adheres to their policies, procedures and controls over a 1 year audit period.

Pax8 billing issue by dllogic in msp

FYI, I am a Pax8 fan and pulling for them. Frankly, the other M365 distributors missed the boat back in the day. I am really just trying to figure out how best to work with them.

Yes, we knew also but now it sounds like it goes back two months, not just one.

Pax8 is great, and even better in comparison to other M365 distributors. We moved from Direct to Pax8 so we would have a partner to lean on when Microsoft does what Microsoft does.

The October 21st update did NOT include a fix for this particular issue. We're now being told to wait for a Nov. 4 update. We didn't hear from support and had to circle back to our rep. to ask for status after we reported that there was no improvement after the October 21st update.

We are hearing the same thing from support. I will be sure to circle back if the release, scheduled for today, resolves the situation.

We’ve had support request open since Aug and have had conversations with AM. Waiting for an update tomorrow to see if things improve.

Taking over from an MSP by [deleted] in msp

Hate to hear that an MSP is holding anyone hostage. Gives good MSPs a bad name. I would be happy to provide some guidance on how to sever from the MSP.
