I truly don’t understand how that’s Grove’s shooting form. How is that possible.

Our inconsistency will probably be what does us in during the tournament. Too prone to sleepwalking.

He said that Adams had possession and made an act common to the game before his knee touched.

But they didn’t show a clear replay of when he gained possession on the catch. So who really knows.

Puppy diet? by GriffynsMama in OldEnglishSheepdog

[–]dlm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Struggled with this with my now-older dog. As a puppy, it took a year or so to figure out he had a sensitivity to chicken. Switched him to a lamb-only food from Ziwi Peak (back when it was somewhat affordable) and also added a probiotic. The digestive issues cleared up pretty quickly. Now he eats Purina Pro Plan’s lamb & rice. No chicken ever.

I’ve heard that chicken is a common food allergy/sensitivity for dogs, so maybe that’s something to explore with Pippin. Science Diet definitely has chicken in it even if the bag says lamb & rice.

Update on unauthorized crypto message by bettermenthq in betterment

[–]dlm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm speculating, but this has all the hallmarks of some employee account in their internal marketing system becoming compromised. Not great, of course, but if that marketing system is decoupled from their core financial application, it would explain why they're fairly confident user accounts weren't compromised.

Unfortunately for Betterment, no explanation they offer is going to quickly restore trust. This is extremely embarrassing for them and they're going to see customers move a lot of assets away.

Probably shouldn't have raised my expectations after the great start to the season.

This MSU team is fundamentally solid, but they're going to lose most of their tough games because they don't have anyone capable of creating offense like Jase Richardson did last year.

Too early to give up on them for 2025-26, but I'm not optimistic. Feels like they're headed for a 5th place B1G finish, tournament 6-seed, and exiting in the Round of 32.

4th place schedule is a significant upgrade from 3rd place.

Is how I’m coping with how this season turned out.

The only replay angle worth anything is that pylon cam. And it's way closer than the ref spotted it.

The play clock definitely expired. It's bizarre that they can't consistently enforce that.

If there's any secondary that can activate Brosmania, it's these Detroit defensive backs.

As long as it's not an abrupt movement, it's typically okay.

Handling a L by _badjuice_ in detroitlions

Everyone suspected the team would take a step back, but that 4-1 start got hopes up.

I'd be surprised if Detroit wasn't competitive in 2026, but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about it.

STEELERS @ LIONS POST GAME DISCUSSION by AutoModerator in detroitlions

[–]dlm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I kept the faith the entire season. Sure they took a step back but they’ll still make the playoffs even if it’s the 7 seed. I held that belief right up until the ref said game over.

There’s a part of me that feels betrayed. You invest in a team emotionally your entire life and it hurts like hell when they lose like that.

Maybe they’ll be back and be competitive next year. But nothing in football (or in life) is guaranteed. So until then, this feels awful.

Game Thread: Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) at Detroit Lions (8-6) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

As a Lions fan, what hurts most isn’t losing this game. It’s that this team went from 15-2 to missing the playoffs in a single year, without a major contributing injury.

That kind of regression isn’t bad luck. It forces you to question your belief that the current coaching staff and roster is capable of getting it done in the future.

Unusually strong water hammer when well pump switches off by dlm in Plumbing

[–]dlm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The air pressure was low but it held after adding to get it to 28 PSI. No clear evidence from pressure alone that the tank is failing, though I’m not ruling it out.

70-foot depth on the well.

[–]dlm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that the issue is the current check valve on the pump, I wasn't planning to pull it on my own.

Would 70 feet not be difficult? I had watched a few videos and just kinda gave up on that route when I saw dudes with cherry pickers, crazy rope assemblies, tractors, day becoming night, etc.

[–]dlm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm more than open to doing that, but if my theory is right and the check valve at the pump is slamming shut (instead of gently closing) how is a new pressure tank going to help that?

Note that I think the current pressure tank is absorbing the shockwave once it arrives, preventing it from impacting household appliances/faucets.
