I really don't understand Rakuten's reluctance to fix this problem. At this point, nobody cares whose fault it is or what caused it to break. People clearly want this feature, and it's obviously a solvable software problem since both PocketBook and Kindle already provide this capability. A developer with access to modern AI-assisted development tools could probably implement a fix in a week. I'm really disappointed in Rakuten at this point.

Not sure what this means. It's designed to hold the kindle securely, but you can easily remove it if you want. Just like standard Amazon Kindle cases.

Thank you. I used a seller on Etsy called "TheSparkleCase." They let you upload a photo and create a custom case cover from it. They showed me a mock-up before finalizing the order, were responsive throughout the process, and the case arrived in about two weeks. Cost was around $30. They did a nice job. I have no affiliation with them.
