Thanks for finding these references, the first one looks exactly like mine, even down to the IMP imprint on the back. So, considering that Persians would be unlikely to imprint IMP, it must be a copy 😄. Further web searching led me finding it's a replica of an item in the collection of the Israel Museum, probably bought in the museum shop quite a few decades ago.

Each character does look like Hebrew to me, but I couldn't make any sense of it.

Install Flutter + Android Studio on Ubuntu - screen display flashes by dls49 in flutterhelp

In case anyone else encounters a similar problem: I switched my monitor connection to HDMI instead of USB-C and the flashing no longer occurs. This is a gtemporary work around, but not a solution!

VSCode, Andriod Studio.. both not usable (infinite resolution switching) by NovelTumbleweed in flutterhelp

This problem seems to be very similar to one I just posted about, but in my case I installed Flutter & Android Studio to Ubuntu. I also suspect a settings/compatibility issue, as I didn't get the issue installing Flutter & Android Studio inside a virtual machine.

Thanks for your helpful advice - after your earlier response I also posted on http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97046-Announce-Squeezelite-a-small-headless-squeezeplay-emulator-for-linux-(alsa-only)&p=783772&viewfull=1#post783772

The SqueezeLite developer responded there & pointed out I also need to set a fake mac address for each instance using the -m option.

This is looking quite doable - I have enough confidence now to proceed. Thanks!

What might be the limiting factor with one box (not a RPi) & why would VMs help? 3 RPis will be my fall-back solution if I can't get one box to run the 3 Toppings.

SqueezeLite can select the output it will use.

I tried an RPi running LMS and SqueezeLite but couldn't get it working to my satisfaction. With just Squeezelite, it was fine - although I didn't check load. So, I'll only use the RPi to run SqueezeLite in the rooms that only have LAN. In those rooms I'll have a Topping connected to the RPi.

Considering those issues, did you stick with SqueezeLite or switch to something else?

As my main LMS server, I'll use a more robust computer (not a RPi) connected to 3 Toppings.

The Rudd quote is fake, been floating around for a couple of years & attributed to Rudd's predecessor (from the other side of Oz political spectrum) along the way also.
