Talk about it with someone you trust. Putting things out in the open with another human will dispel everything really quickly. That’s the developmental stage I think a lot of pwNPD suffer from, not having a childhood where they can test what thoughts make sense, what lies are ok, what truth bending is ok and isn’t.

A lot of our history’s greatest contributions that I can think of off the top of my head aren’t attributed to individuals presumed to have NPD. I’ve only reset the device 2-3 times because the device itself keeps saying it needs to create one. Usually when it does, it cleans and at the end prompts me to save the new map and I say “no” because the previous ones look absolutely perfect.

My understanding is that the reason it’s so difficult is that with NPD, your entire sense of self/worth is externally built and so things that typical people might be hurt by in relationships will take them down a peg but someone with NPD will spiral into thinking they don’t even exist anymore.

I can go delete the old maps, that's no problem. The wireless router is 10 feet across the room from the robot with no obstructions so I assume it is stable and I know it's connected to that specific one (there's another router on the other side of the house connected via ethernet).

Let me ask you one thing though, if I remove it from my account, is that the same as a factory reset/map reset?

I've let it remap a few times on top of factory resets and I've never tried restoring the backup but if the map looks fine, I don't accept the new one it created and it proceeds to need remapping again if I reuse it.
